Description of the Ararat vacation cabin rental
“Oh yeah , almost forgot about the house part.” It is a nice 2 bedroom , 1 bath, with a den, kitchen, sunroom and deck. All modern and very nicely maintained. There is satellite TV and a DVD player with plenty of movies to watch.
The cabin next to ours can be rented along with ours for large families and small groups. See “Riverfront Cabin“ 3 bedrooms. This gives you about 1000 ft of river frontage with two large front yards,five bedrooms, two kitchens,etc.

Fun Vacation

The scenery was great. It rained 2 days, so the river was high. Tubing was fun. Grandkids loved the big yard by the river. Fire pit was great for making smores! Enjoyed the little churh down the road on Sunday. Had a good time in Mt. Airy. Grandkids watch the Andy Griffith show all the time. They had a blast exploring all the places mentioned in the show. We enjoyed our week. Looking forward to new adventures next year.

A sleepy week

What a nice place for a couple to stay. It was rather clean, quiet and well equipped. The only draw back, there is no cell phone towers or internet provider in the valley. We loved it but kids just might get bored.

Peaceful Interlude

My sister and I stayed at Riverside Cabin in the Kibler Valley on March 16th and 17th. We had a great view of the River Dan and even met some of the fishermen, who were anxious to share their catch with us. We found the cabin well furnished and pleasant. Yes, the lady bugs were there to greet us, but we were not bothered by that. Friends who live in the area took us site-seeing in Mt. Airy and Ararat. Warren and Linda, the cabin's owners were helpful and everything was right where they said it would be. Our over-all experience was positive and the only suggestions for improvements were made via email directly to Warren. We appreciated Warren's call to see if we had settled in and found everything. I also appreciated his prompt reply to my initial inquiry. I plan to go back Easter week-end for another two day get-a-way. I will be taking my 19 year old grandson and his girlfriend and they will do the hiking and exploring that I did not do. On my next visit I will do some sketching. This is a perfect place for artist and writers (and lovers, if you are lucky enough to have one!!!!!!

We all thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay! The photos accurately depict the great condition and features of the property, which was even more lovely in the fall. The owners provided very helpful information before our visit, so that we could research more about things to do and see in the vicinity. We appreciated all of their helpful tips and suggestions about how to really enjoy our stay... as if we were part of their family. The dogs loved playing in the river, on the lawn, and hiking up to the waterfall. All in all, quite a sweet find that we highly recommend to anyone looking to be tucked away in the woods for some much needed quiet time. Many thanks to Warren & Linda! :)

We had a wonderful time. Very peaceful place to stay, very close to the river you can hear the water flowing over the rocks sitting on the porch. The house was clean and cozy. We plan on going again next year!

We absolutely loved our week long stay at this Riverfront Cabin. I would highly recommend staying here if you are planning a visit to this area of Virginia and are looking for a pristine/serene setting close to many interesting places to explore in Viriginia. The rental is in a beautiful setting and the cabin offered up-to-date ammenities and was in excellent condition. The owner's were very hospitable. We would definately rent this cabin again. We booked this cabin expecting it to be one we would enjoy based on the description and pictures. It exceeded our expectations!

A beautiful location

The cabin was great as was the location. It was just as described. The rushing river was wonderful to relax by at the end of the day. The fire pit was great for roasting hot dogs for dinner. Unfortunately we spent so much time out touring the beautiful roads on our motorcycle that it did'nt leave us as much time as we would have to liked to spend back at the cabin. The cabin was very comfortable and stocked with everything we needed. The neighbor's were all very friendly. Warren, the owner, was very nice to deal with. He explained everything we needed to know. We will be back in the area and would be happy to rent the Riverfront Cabin again.

Fantastic Riverfront Cabin

Our visit to the Dan Riverfront cabin was wonderful in every way. It was clean, well-equipped and has a tremendous view of the Dan River from the open-air deck, kitchen and living room. The section of river in front of the cabin provided a great fishin' hole and the electrical outlet at river's edge allowed easy, convenient meal/coffee preparation. Hung from the walls inside the cabin were beautiful framed photographs taken by the owner. Ceiling fans in all of the rooms provided ample air circulation and having no screen on the kitchen window allowed for an unobstructed view of the riverfront. Everything was in fine order and our vacation was superb! This cabin will definitely be a return vacation destination! Thanks Warren & Linda

great place, but bring bug sparay for house

Overall really enjoyed our stay. Loved the location!! Had a bit of an issue with bugs in the house, so got some indoor bug spray with great results. Also some bees nests outside were a problem, one of my sons got stung. These are things that should be taken care of before people arrive. Only other thing was that the kitch got too warm when cooking in there, but couldn't open the windows because there were no screens. That bit of air circulating would have helped tremendously. Just little things, overall we had a great time there. Would definitely do it again!!

Great Vacation Get-Away

We really had a GREAT TIME at your lovely home in Kibler Valley. It's always a treat to stay by the river and enjoy the peace and quiet. The pictures do not really show how nice this house is. The grand-kids loved fishing,tubing down the river, visiting the waterfall and just playing in the yard beside the river-[almost as much as the adults]. Thanks for alowing us to stay here these days over the Easter week-end. It was truly an enjoyable trip!

It was a last minute call and Warren, the owner was a gentleman and we were able to manage something together! Thanks for that! The place is a very quiet place, there's a swimmable river in front of the house and a beautiful little fall 5min walk. Inside, everything is functionnal and relaxing. For sure I will return back there someday to finish wirte my book! Thanks again Warren!

I enjoyed my time spent on the river. It is so peaceful and relaxing. We also have family in the area which come and visit us daily while we are there. We love spending time with them and being on the river makes it even more enjoyable. We loved your home as well as all of the modern conviences (A/C, washer and dryed, dishwasher). My daughter and I spent two nights at the Riverfront Cabin. It was a wonderful experience for us both. Loved being by the Dan River and the beauty of Gods green earth. Would definetly plan another trip there.
