Riverfront Cabin -3 bedroom

Come and enjoy our riverfront vacation home in picturesque Kibler valley, just down the mountain from Meadows of Dan, VA. We are situated on the Dan River about 4 miles down a six mile dead-end road. We are right on the river so you can grill by the river, relax by the river , kayak, canoe , tube, fish for trout ( it is a very popular trout river which is stocked by the Dept of Fisheries) swim, wade or put your chair in the middle of the river and just cool out. There is an electrical outlet by the river so bring the coffee pot out and the waffle iron and have a riverside breakfast. There are two houses adjacent to one another that can be rented either separately or together. Together the two houses will accommodate 10-12 people making it an ideal retreat location, for families, small corporate retreats and other small groups. Don’t worry about modern day electronic distractions as we are off the grid for both cellular and internet. However we do have a large wide-screen TV with about 20 channels for your viewing pleasure.

The house has three bedrooms and one bath. The master bedroom is located downstairs and there are two additional bedrooms upstairs. Our kitchen is well stocked with accessories and features a barstool counter space as well as a dining table. There is a great room with a wide -screen TV that opens up to a very comfortable and relaxing front porch with a view of the river and surrounding mountains. Our front yard is riverfront and large enough for a volleyball court or other activity.

As you can see the property is located in a beautiful valley surrounded by the peaks of the nearby Blue Ridge Mountains. You can be on the Blue Ridge Parkway after a fifteen minute scenic drive up Squirrel Spur Road and in Meadows of Dan in twenty-five minutes. The Chateau Morisette Winery and Restaurant is about a forty minute drive from the valley. You can spend days exploring the trails in the valley, hiking up the river into pristine, totally untouched scenery or take a picnic up behind the house to the beautiful waterfall.
