As our first time using this type of set up (renting from someone instead of a hotel), we were a little nervous. But from Jody's first email I knew everything would be fine. Once we arrived we met Jody + John—the nicest people to meet on your first day of vacation and if we lived there I know we'd be friends. Then we saw the space... absolutely adorable. A full kitchen, bath, bedroom, and living room at this cost is unheard of—and they allow pets. It was maybe a 10 minute drive into downtown Asheville at most, and really easy to navigate to and from. If we visit Asheville ever again—we will always stay here! Thank you Jody + John!

My wife and I spent the weekend at the apartment with our two dogs and we had a great time. The place is clean, neat, and conveniently located plus there's plenty of room for dogs to burn off some steam. John and Jody were very friendly and accommodating. We definitely plan to stay again. I have no complaints and it was even better than expected.

after searching through many options for a place to stay near asheville with our two well behaved pooches, we found this lovely little apartment. it is a spacious, well maintained, relaxing place to rest after exploring the sights of asheville. it is less than 10 miles to downtown, yet has the charming views of the countryside. the apartment is well stocked with all the necessities: towels, blankets, hairdryer, kitchen utensils and a full size kitchen, (though who wants to cook with the amazing array of restaurants in asheville?!) the bed was comfy and cozy, with plush bedding. we barely saw the owners, if you're one for privacy, but they were easily available if we needed anything. we will absolutely be returning, as you can't beat the nightly price by a long shot in asheville!

This was my second stay at the coziest, cutest and most comfortable garage apt. It is very clean, well appointed and has a homey feeling. If you are looking for a peaceful respite then this is the place. It is also close to shopping, good restaurants and only a short drive into downtown Asheville or the Biltmore Estate.

I was surprised how much bigger all of the rooms are, compared to the pictures. The location was perfect and Jody was very pleasant and accommodating through our stay.

Charming garage apartment in southern Asheville. Very close to Blue Ridge Parkway, great access to local hiking, right around the corner from Earth Fare, and close to downtown. Wonderful owner--very welcoming and friendly. Small issues with stay Jody is sure to take care of were only reason not 5 stars. Highly recommend.

Very comfortable apartment, in a perfect location for many activities. Close to everyday necessities, but not far from downtown Asheville or the trails off the Blue Ridge Pkwy. No matter what you get up to during the day, you'll sleep well at night & wake up to beautiful sunrises that you can watch right from the porch. Jody & John were the perfect hosts -- very warm & accessible, but not intrusive. We had a fantastic time during our stay, in no small part due to the Hilliard family's kindness. Thanks again, y'all, for a wonderful vacation. We're already ready to come back for another spell!

Jodi and John were extremely welcoming and helpful! This was a fantastic rental. We were visiting our son at Warren Wilson College and the convenience and cleanliness of the this place was great. The college was only 20 minutes, tourist attractions were about one hour away. Shopping for anything you could imagine was only 10 minutes away (if that). Downtown Asheville was 10 minutes. The apartment came equipped with everything. Wireless internet was fast and reliable so we could check things at work. Great TV. My husband and I appreciated a bed that was actually COMFORTABLE:) Our daughter slept on a futon in the living room that Jodi had already made up prior to our arrival. The apartment had one bathroom, but it was very large and had two doors; one to the bedroom and one to the main apartment. So, that worked out just fine. The kitchen was large and had everything needed to cook a big dinner for our son and his college friends. The price was very reasonable. We are definitely planning on renting this apartment again when we travel to the Asheville area. Thanks to Jodi and John we all had a very relaxing vacation.

The overpriced Asheville accomodations can make you think you have to pay that much. But you don't! For a great price, we got a recently renovated, clean, comfortable apartment. The location was great, putting us near the airport, the interstates, Ingles, Earthfare, lots of restaurants (including Honey Tupelo) and one of the Blue Ridge Parkway entrances. The only issue for us was a bit of lingering smoke smell from a previous tenant, but the owners changed the AC filter immediately upon our request, which helped right away. We enjoyed our stay immensely, as well as meeting owners John, Jody and charming baby Jackie. Whenever we need a place to stay in Asheville in the future, we'll hope that this apartment is available, because we've found a great home away from home here.
