Our family stayed at Breakaway cabin (6 of us) and the views were wonderful. The cabin was great...the only drawback was the bed. Definately need new mattresses. Otherwise, we had a great time at this cabin. It was clean and the views were great.

BreakAway Cabin is as advertised and provided excellent respite from the work week and day to day patterns. The interior is open, beautifully constructed, and inviting. The back deck was great for grilling and eating and the covered front deck with morning coffee a good way to start the day! The house gave a sense of solitude from urban life. We took advantage of the location 4 miles from the Blueridge Parkway for some nice drives and hikes with dogs. Dog-friendly is a huge bonus, and the house did not have pet smell or wear. The drive to Asheville on the Parkway had outstanding views! The only aspect that prevented 5 stars is the master bed. Though huge, it is a bit lumpy. My friend who slept in the loft on the queen-size bed with memory foam had rave reviews, however. That said, we really enjoyed our experience on this property and have it short-listed for future getaways. It's rural location with quick access to trails and Asheville seem ideal for a longer stay.

Our experience was wonderful from beginning to end...the cabin was beyond our expectations, the pictures do not do it justice; very comfortable and well equipped. We were in awe of the fall foliage during the drives we took through the mountains. The only thing that would have been better was if there were rocking chairs on the front porch!!

My husband and I celebrated our first anniversary in Asheville staying at the Break Away Cabin in Weaverville. The location was out of the way which was wonderful and the cabin was absolutely beautiful. The yard was manicured very nicely and provided us a great space to relax and enjoy the perfect weather. There are a few things that could use attention: the front porch light is hanging from wires and needs repair, the stairs to the shed are uneven (and almost led to my husband falling when putting the garbage cans away), the showerhead in the master bathroom is broken and does not adjust, and the back screen door is warped which allows bugs to enter the house if the main door is left open. I would also suggest better mattresses, since this was the only aspect of the house that we felt could have been improved upon from a guest perspective (and the only reason we didn't give 5 stars...aside from the mattresses, the place was absolutely perfect!) The house itself is gorgeous and the location was perfect for our quiet anniversary retreat, something my husband and I desperately needed. :) We will definitley consider Vacations-in-Asheville vacations for future trips to the mountains.

We stayed at BreakAway for a week and enjoyed a lovely snow. It stayed just long enough and we were able to leave on schedule. Only negative was the drive. There was nowhere to turn around. The company was really nice and we were able to park at the cabin nextdoor.

Comfortable, cozy cabin; nice location, which is close-in enough to be convenient but "out of town" enough to be private. Though located on a busy road, the cabin is set back far enough to be very quiet inside and ok outside on the back deck. We had a lovely weekend visit, thanks

This is the second time we stayed at this property. It was so comfortable. It feels like home away from home. It is very clean. When we arrived the lights were on and the radio was playing to welcome us. We love the fact the our dog is welcome. We hope to come back soon.

The view is spectacular and the cabin was everything it was advertised to be. The beds were very comfortable and the living room was very comfy and kitchen was also very nice and had all the conveniences. The area is close to everything and we visited the Biltmore and surrounding area with virtually no trouble. We even found that we really liked the Ingalls grocery store and are looking for one in our area. Wish we could have stayed longer...and oh yes we even met one of the neighbors and had a very nice conversation with them...nice people.
