Description of the Asheville vacation cabin rental

The cabin is in Grandview Peaks, a gated community of cabin homes. Morning Star Cabin is nestled in the mountains at an elevation of 1800 feet and provides a breathtaking panoramic view of the South Mountains. This beautiful , quiet and peaceful location is an ideal spot for a restful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

If you are a lover of nature, the outdoors, and God’s creations, we invite you to stay in Morning Star Cabin where you can:

View beautiful mountain scenes that are highlighted by low lying cloud cover, light and dark shadows from sunlight, leaves changing color in Fall and snow capped peaks in Winter as you rock on the deck relaxing;
Enjoy peace, and quiet; and, clean, cool, crisp mountain air as you stroll on our private paved streets winding through wooded mountainous lots in our cabin community;
See a plethora of wild life (deer and wild turkey) in their natural environment;
Hike a mountain trail that travels along a bubbly creek and culminates in a water fall.
Imagine awakening early in the morning and seeing from your bedroom a ball of fire lighting up the sky as the sun rises over the mountains;
Visit with family and friends over dinner in our combination dining/family room area with high cathedral ceilings and view the mountains from the sliding glass doors across the front of the cabin.
At the end of a day in the outdoors, take a nice hot bath and relax in the Jacuzzi in the master bathroom.

Area Information

Morning Star Cabin is located 40 miles east of Asheville and 60 miles west of Charlotte. Three small towns, Marion, Morganton and Rutherfordton are easily accessible within a 30 minute drive.

Sam, This is the second time we stayed at Morningstar and we never get tired of the beautiful sunrises each day. Your home is clean, open and very comfortable and has spactacular views. We hope to come back again in early June as we plan to meet with a builder to begin construction of our home. Get away from it all

July 12, 2012

We wanted a vacation where we could get away from all the hustle and bustle. Our vacation at Morning Star allowed us to do just that. Only had one car drive by the house the whole week we were there. Quiet, peaceful setting. Beautiful house with a lot of space. However, we also have two small children that we needed to keep entertained and there are plenty of activities in the area. Went into Marion to let the kids play on a sprayground. Drove to Lake James State park for fun at the lake. Took a longer drive to Blowing Rock to go to Tweetsie Railroad. All-in-all, there was something for each one of us to enjoy. We look forward to coming back soon.
