What a great Deal! This should be your 1st choice

I just can't say enough great things about this cottage. First Kim and Brian were very gracious hosts making sure we had everything when we arrived. They walked us through the house and showed us all the controls. The living room/kitchen area is large and feels like home. Great recliners. Flat screen TV, VCR,DVD,cable, Wi-fi are all provided. Kitchen had all the pots, pans, plates, cups we needed. Even has a dishwasher! Master bedroom was large. bed was comfy and plenty of room in the closet and dressers. 2nd and 3rd bedroom also were nice size and had room to store clothes. There is an attached garage so you don't have to deal with the weather when leaving or arriving. There is a side and back deck that are huge. Pleanty of room to relax or eat in provided patio furniture. We even used the new gas grill to make dinner. There is also a nice large yard for kids. As far as location, it is 15-20 mins from Asheville and only 5 mins from most highways. Walmart/Lowes/Banks/McDonalds/CVS/DQ/Bojangles are 5 mins away and there is a gas convenience store 2 mins away. if you are looking to stay in this area...MAKE THIS YOUR FIRST CHOICE!!!!!

We came to motorcycle the mountains around Ashville. This was in the perfect spot because we did not want to stay in busy Ashville. Weaverville had everything we needed. The house was perfect. We were able to park the bikes in the garage. We sat out on the deck in the evenings. The weather was great. Cool in the mornings and evenings. We missed the sign on the corner and got a bit lost finding it the first time. We were there with another couple so sharing the bath became a little tricky but worked. It was nice to have the washer and dryer right there also at no charge. Kim & Bryan were very good host but left us to come and go as we pleased.

We spent 1 week at kim's cottage with our children coming in different directions for there grandma's 90th birthday. Brian&Kim are very nice people and the cottage was very clean, nice wrap around deck, brand new grill--everything was furnished! We found a little treasure in the mountains and hope to return to soon!

The Perfect Summer Haven
September 25, 2013
For 2 years now my husband & I have been guests at Kim's Cottage, all of July & August, retreating from the relentless humidity in Florida. There is nothing we could want more, especially with the new extended porch wrapping around to a deck overlooking the rolling property & trees; completely private, yet close to shopping, relaxation or any sport activities you desire, including the YMCA only 15 minutes away which I personally enjoyed, as well as numerous day trips throughout the Asheville & surrounding mountain areas. Because of our extended stay, we enjoyed exploring the many neighboring towns & restaurants; it was also important for me to have the opportunity to cook myself in the well appointed kitchen. Kim was especially kind to share the fruits of a neighborhood garden with me; they are both so eager to accommodate their gusts in an way. It was comforting for me to have them at a safe distance away should I need them, as my husband returned to Florida for an extended period during our stay. During his trip back home, I felt very safe & able to go about my days traveling on my own, & even learned about local estate sales & flea markets, or just relaxed at the cottage taking in the beauty of nature all around. Having the oversized garage to keep our vehicle was a real plus too. We have had friends come to visit us during our stay & they too expressed how clean & comfortable the cottage is, and how gracious Kim & Brian are to their guests. I would highly recommend this vacation home to anyone who desires a short or long terms home away from home.., but, please not in July & August as we hope to return again next year!

My husband and I found Kim's Guest Cottage to be a wonderful "home away from home." It was very clean and accommodating. Kim and Brian were wonderful hosts, and we will definitely recommend the cottage to others and would absolutely stay there again when we are in the Ashville area. Thank you, Kim and Brian!

Perfect location for a cycling vacation!
April 1, 2013
Brian and Kim are wonderful hosts and the cottage was well-kept, with a nice porch for warm days, a grill, a washer and dryer, dishwasher, everything you need to feel right at home. For cycling, this location could not be better! Easy to ride to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Also close to Weaverville center and the restaurants, grocery stores, anything you need, as well as being just 15 minutes from downtown Asheville! Thanks again for a great vacation!
Thank you Suzanne and Daniel for the wonderful review, we really enjoyed meeting you!
The Weaverville / Asheville mountain area is becoming very popular for Cyclists and Motorcyclists due to our proximity of just a few miles from the Tennessee border, just 50 miles from Dollywood and Gatlinburg, also we have a full sized garage and a storage area for the bikes.

Brian and Kim were a great host. Their cottage is beautiful and well kept. We arrived on Friday evening and the door was open, the fireplace was lit and we were met with helpful smiles. It was amazing that this cottage was only 20 minutes from our zipline event planned for Saturday. What a plast and after a great lunch in town it was nice to relax and enjoy the view. I am looking forward to my next trip to this area and contacting Brian and Kim to see if their cottage will be available.

Family get together
June 17, 2012
We arrived later in the day than planned but our hosts were right there to greet us and make sure we found our accomodations in order. We had stayed at this cottage in the past and each time have found the place to be very clean and well supplied with everything we needed for our stay. And, as always we were made to feel like family. Good to see our hosts again and in good health after a difficult spell they had been through. We look forward to returning to this beautiful accomodation in the future.

Nice Place To Visit

This is a good value in the Asheville, NC area. It's about 30 minutes away, and was difficult to find in the dark. Very clean cottage, right next door to the owner's home, so we did feel safe. We used it on our honeymoon, and the owners, Kim & Brian, made us feel very welcome. It is very quiet and secluded, with a lovely mountain view from the deck. They provided coffee for the coffeemaker and linens and towels were all inclusive. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

Not quite ready

The cottage is nice and very clean. Had all the things needed to cook and eat in. The only complaint (if you want to call it that) is that the fireplace would not work. It appeared that there was not enough propane to sustain a fire. We stayed in most of the time and really would have loved to have that working. Other than that easy access to Asheville and Weaverville. One car garage only. Overall nice.

Kim's cottage was very nice with a lot of attention having been made to anything we might have needed during our stay. Very clean and Kim and Brian's hospitality was super on making sure our stay was enjoyable.
