Description of the Asheville vacation cottage rental

Fall has arrived in the mountains of Western North Carolina and the leaf season is around the corner. Now is the time to make your vacation plans and reservations for Autumn fun at The Gatehouse at Wolf Run.

The Gatehouse at Wolf Run is located on a 5 plus acre secluded knoll in beautiful Marshall, North Carolina. It provides you with a comfortable relaxing home away from home with inspiring views of the mountains. The two bedroom, one bath house is beautifully appointed with everything you need for a great stay in the mountains including pillow top queen size beds with fluffy comforters.

We are located in the mountains yet convenient to Asheville, Weaverville and historic Marshall. There are several white water rafting companies, including Nanatahala Outdoor Center and French Broad Rafting, local horseback riding and hiking and biking right around the corner. Hot Springs with its hot water spas is a short car ride away and a fly fishing guide is available to take you to super trout fishing rivers, either wading or drifting. A massage therapist is around the corner or will come to the Gatehouse to provide a relaxing massage after your busy day in the outdoors.

If you are looking for a week of relaxation bring your book and prepare to spend time on the various decks overlooking the mountains and valley where the sunsets are awe-inspiring. After sunset the darkness provides a perfect backdrop to view the stars where they appear brighter and closer.

The Gatehouse is an elegant yet relaxing retreat with all that you need at your fingertips including central heat and air, fully equipped kitchen, satellite TV, washer/dryer, Internet access and grill for outdoor cooking on the deck.

And for those responsible pet owners who like to take their four footed friends with them on vacation there is a large fenced yard with doggy door access.

Located thirty minutes from downtown Asheville, twenty minutes to quaint Weaverville and five minutes to historic Marshall, you can avail yourself of charming restaurants and exciting night life.

Why stay in a nondescript motel/hotel room where for the same cost you can have your own private retreat with all the comforts of home including a complimentary bottle of wine upon arrival. For the comfort of our guests this is a non-smoking home.

We had a wonderful weeks stay at the Gatehouse. The accomodations were delightful. The cabin was centrally located for all of our sightseeing desires. Gratefully we were allowed to bring our two Yorkshire Terrier Dogs with us. They had a blast romping through the leaves and were very well behaved. The owners of the property were most hospitable. We will definetly rent the cabin again in the future.
