historic cottage asheville

July 30, 2013

While a small cottage the layout was perfect and everything was as promised, The owners obviously had good taste and planned on how to best utilize the space. It was very enjoyable to sit on the front porch swing with coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening. The neighborhood was charming and the people we met friendly. We were able to walk to bakeries, restaurants, and parks, It was definitely different from our usual vacation but I already miss the cottage and vibrant atmosphere of Asheville.

Fabulous house in a great location

April 1, 2013

We felt at home instantly in this wonderful cozy cottage. The owners thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Great front porch to relax in the sunshine even on cool days with our Shih Tzu and a bottle of wine. Easy walk to downtown and historic neighborhoods. Hope to visit Asheville and Corner Cottage again!

December 12, 2012

This house has it all! Perfect location, extremely comfortable, tastefully decorated, wonderful kitchen, WiFi, easy parking, and a fenced yard for our dogs. Fabulous landlord/owners. And spotless! Delightful, very private back porch and yard. We walked just about everywhere. It really is a home away from home! Perfect rental to get a really good feel for this beautiful city.

We just came home yesterday and I miss this house, and Asheville, already. This is truly a home away from home - if you live in a place that is immaculate. We were totally happy with this wonderful cottage.

I would live here it is so cozy

March 2, 2012

I spent an entire month here while house hunting. I could not have been more comfortable. The location is perfect, centrally located to all of Asheville, yet walking distance to so much. You will want for nothing. I have stayed in vacation homes many times and there is always something basic you need to buy just for the stay, like salt or paper towels. These guys thought of everything. Just bring your clothes, toothbrush and toilteries, and foot and drink. Everything else is here. Plenty of plates, glasses, even dish soap. They made it so easy at such a stressful time. Even with a whole months stay there was little other then food I needed to buy for the house. There is plenty of literature on things to do and places to go, plus menus for tons of area restaurants. If you are looking for a place to vacation in the downtown Asheville area, look no further. You won't find a better place.

Great spot to relax and enjoy Asheville

October 25, 2011

I really enjoyed my stay at this Downtown Corner Cottage. It was pet friendly, so my cat and cavalier king charles could relax and enjoy the amenities as well. The house was comfortably furnished and the outside lanai was fantastic for morning coffee and evening cocktails. As advertised, it was minutes from downtown so we were able to enjoy great dining experiences and see the sights of a wonderful city.

Excellent Vacation Choice

September 5, 2011

I had a wonderful 4-week vacation at the Corner Cottage in August, 2011. This charming cottage is made even more attractive by its extensive and comfortable outdoor living space. I was impressed and pleased with the meticulous attention to detail throughout the home. The location is ideal for access to shopping and restaurants -- yes, I could 'walk to all' -- as well as to the parkways for day excursions. I would not hesitate to stay at the Corner Cottage again!

Perfect Spot!

May 30, 2011

We had an amazing time visiting NC for the first time and the Corner Cottage provided a little slice of paradise close to the core of asheville. It is everything that the description says and more - it was clean, quiet, comfortable, quaint, and private! Ken and Roger obviously take great pride in their cottage and the attention to detail shows in in the design and decor and providing all the comforts of being at home. There was nothing like coming back to our home away from home after a long day of cycling in the mountains and relaxing on the front porch or lanai in the private back living area. Perfect to take in the sights and sounds of the neighbourhood and the mountains in the background. There are a lot of amazing local restaurants and shops nearby and the hiking and cycling is incredible. We only had a week there and can't wait to come back to explore and enjoy the things we didn't have time for...and we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else but the Corner Cottage!

Comfortable, Clean and Convenient.

April 20, 2011

The cottage was perfect for our needs. We walked to town every day and felt safe returning after dark. The house has everything needed to prepare meals, though the kitchen is small. The front porch and backyard patio are a big plus. Nicely landscaped. Off street parking if needed. Very quiet neighborhood. The owners have provided a very nice collection of area travel brochures and restaurant guides. Much better than a hotel for extended stays.

Home Away from Home

March 26, 2011

We love this town. We love this cottage. All the comforts of home, plus a great location. Easy walk into town, easy access to highways & Blue Ridge Parkway. Only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. Even the dog was pouting when we packed up the car. We will be back!

Great short term lease

December 16, 2010

I have stayed at the corner cottage for the past 2 months, and it has been great. Everything that you need is there. Furnishings are tasteful and the location is within walking distance to much of downtown Asheville. The neighbors are very nice and the neighborhood is good for walking. I would highly recommend to anyone needing a short term lease.
