A perfect morning at The Asheville Corner Cottage is spent quietly waking to the sounds of the birds outside your window, and enjoying your tea or coffee on the back porch surrounded by butterflies, flowers, and herbs. Nestled on a cozy street in a historic neighborhood (the house was built in 1919 in the cottage style) within short walking distance to City Bakery Cafe,Greenlife (Whole Foods), local shops and Starbucks - your choices are unlimited. Walk or bike (rentals 2 blocks away) to the downtown core (Grove Arcade,shops,& world class foodie destinations.)

With 2 bedrooms and 1 bath The Corner Cottage has a modern kitchen (Jenn-air,dishwasher,granite) living, dining, breakfast porch, sunroom porch/office and covered outdoor space for parking, barbeque, and outdoor dining area. The outdoor space is a big part of the Corner Cottage lifestyle. The Lanai is covered in wisteria vines often visited by butterflies, has cool breezes throughout the day and is ideal for lounging or an outdoor cookout later in the day. It can also be used for covered parking in the winter months.
The Corner Cottage has a great location and lots of privacy that provides a perfect mountain respite. Bordered by a beautiful wood fence that provides both security and creates a very private sanctuary. The back porch is perfect for morning tea overlooking the backyard gardens with a misty glimpse of the surrounding Asheville mountains.The cozy front porch calls you to enjoy the porch swing or bistro table for afternoon cocktails. The Lanai is Abundant morning and afternoon sun light up the home and keep the yard blooming throughout the year. The cottage is comfortably and tastefully furnished , including (2) queen beds and futon. Everything you need for your stay is provided - from soft linens and bathroom sundries to a "ready to cook" kitchen .
There is a bright office area in the sun-room and 2 flat screen TV's. The house has hardwood floors and new windows. Open the front and back doors and enjoy the breezes thru the old fashioned screen doors.There is high speed cable wi-fi internet access available full-time on the property, as well as HD TV.There is no home phone line.

The Neighborhood
Obama is now the 10th president to stay within 5 minutes of this excellent location. Asheville has been the vacation destination for presidents and industrialist for 150 years. The Vanderbilts, Rockefellers, and many other notables have made their way into this neighborhood.
The home is located directly adjacent to the downtown core of Asheville in the Chesnut Hill neighborhood. It is within easy walking (2 to 6 blocks) distance to Greenlife Grocery ( Whole Foods ), YMCA, and all the shops, restaurants, galleries, parks and plazas. The Corner Cottage is located convenient to the Blue Ridge Parkway with easy access to Interstates 40 and 26. Less than 1 1/2 miles to the The Grove Park Inn and The Biltmore Estate. You are mere minutes to one of the finest dinning experiences in America.
