Reviews for this vacation home rental in Asheville, North Carolina

Spacious, grand view
June 3, 2013
The 3-story cabin (including basement) was exactly as advertised capable of sleeping a large group comfortably. The location is extremely close to the major roadways, including the Blue Ridge Parkway. Roads to the cabin are paved, although somewhat narrow and steep in places. The cabin was well equipped with both linens and cooking utensils. Western sunset views were spectacular, particularly from the upper deck. Very enjoyable cabin.

Beautiful view
June 23, 2010
We were very pleased with Avondale. It was clean and the setting was lovely. The ride up the mountain did prove interesting several times. The spaciousness and layout of the home was perfect for our situation. Thank you.

Perfect Mountain Home Getaway!
November 20, 2009
My family came up from Florida for my wedding and there were a ton of us....this place was perfect! Very affordable with lots of space, great mountain views for the Floridians, and plenty of sleeping space with the right amount of restrooms, we could not have picked a more wonderful place to stay! The decor was just right and with the updated kitchen appliances this house truly gave you a sense of a home away from home. I would recommend this place to anyone planning a longer stay with many relatives. Just outside of city limits, we were 15-20 minutes from most and all activites (airport,Biltmore House,Basilica of Saint Lawrence, Downtown) Great location! There has even been talk about meeting halfway with the inlaws to spend Christmas together! It was such a beautiful home that I cant wait for the next time we get together to stay at the Avondale Ridge home! I loved every minute of it! Thank you so much!

Perfect Getaway!
October 7, 2009
We stayed at the Avondale Ridge home while in Asheville for my son's wedding...there were 12 adults and 3 children in our party and we had plenty of room. The view was magnificent, the house is centrally located so we were close to shopping, downtown and the Biltmore. I highly recommend this home...you won't be disappointed.

Like a B&B (only without the staff)
May 7, 2009
My mother, sister, and a number of cousins stayed at the Avondale property for a big cousins' reunion. Every bed in the house was used (save for the singles that are with the queen-sized beds in the downstairs bedrooms). There was never a feeling of being overcrowded. Everyone loved the views outside and the rustic (but not chintzy) decor inside. The property is well appointed and a number of people took advantage of the wireless router. This was like a B&B, only without the staff. And with the costs of room and board (and we ate very well!)split between the participants, this was a bargain to beat all bargains.

Great Family Retreat
November 25, 2008
We housed 10 adults and 4 kids under the age of 3 here with no difficulty at all. Great mountain views from top 2 decks and a great sauna on the bottom floor. Staff was great and easy to deal with. A great cabin off the beaten path but yet only 5 min. from downtown. Cabin has all the necesities you need even toys for the kids. Would certainly vacation here again.

Wedding Weekend
November 2, 2008
For our wedding we wanted a place all our friends and family from out of town could enjoy to experience the beautiful views of Asheville. This house was PERFECT! Close to town with all the feel of being out of town...WE ALL LOVED IT! Everyone visiting was from Texas, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, and France. Avondale Ridge could not have been a better place for us all! Thank you for the memories!
