Description of the Asheville vacation home rental
A year round yurt very close to downtown Asheville with heating and air conditioning and all the comforts of home with all of the magic and playfulness of a yurt!- be transported back to your childhood and let your imagination run wild when you stay at this fun and unique Vacation rental just 5 miles from downtown asheville and less than 3 from hip West Asheville!

The yurt is nothing like a traditional house- this is life in the round! While most yurts have a completely open floor plan with no private space- our yurt has the unique bonus of a small completely enclosed and insulated private bedroom with a comfy queen sized bed beneath a sleeping loft. The room below the sleeping loft has been framed and insulated to provide a quiet sleeping area- people who are light sleepers will enjoy the insulated room and is also nice for those who are traveling with children or others and want to enjoy the bonus of a closed sleeping area :-).

The Yurt is located on a large acre in a residential neighborhood with a cool metal privacy fence that was hand built. Beautiful stone steps lead down to a cozy fire pit area that is stocked with ready split firewood and metal chairs to relax by the campfire in.

Six people fit comfortably on the two beds and comfortable futon.

The yurt features a full kitchen with a stainless steel convection oven, ceramic cooktop and Maple counters- with a regular refrigerator. There are plenty of kitchen tools available for your use including a blender, food processor, crock pot, coffee maker, toaster etc.

We love the yurt and have spent a lot of time and put our energy into building, decorating and adding fun details to enhance the space. We think you'll enjoy these touches as much as we do (black walnut spiral inlaid into the pine floors, a custom built loft ladder with metal piping for handles, shelves made out of recycled bike parts, an antique kitchen hutch converted into a bathroom vanity- art crafted by local artists etc)

The sleeping loft has a half wall (you can not see people in the sleeping loft from below) and allows you to view the stars as you sleep beneath the clear dome. Kids and adults both love sleeping in the loft!

If you are interested in alternative housing, love the outdoors, and would like to experience the most unique and fun rental in Ashevillecome and experience Yurt life!

There is a separate building right outside of the yurt that has a beautiful slate tiled shower, regular flush toilet, vanity, and a new LG stackable washer and dryer.

Experience Yurt Life!

Area Info
From the New York Times:

"Asheville is an Appalachian Shangri-La. This year-round resort town, tucked between the Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains, draws a funky mix of New Agers, fleece-clad mountain bikers, antiques lovers and old-time farmers. And what's there not to like? Charming yet surprisingly cosmopolitan for a town of about 73,000, Asheville has a Southern appeal all its own. There are lazy cafes and buzzing bistros, Art Deco skyscrapers and arcades reminiscent of Paris, kayaking and biodiesel cooperatives and one of the world's largest private homes — the Biltmore Estate, a French Renaissance-style mansion with 250 rooms. No wonder so many locals first started out as tourists."

That's how I got here!
