This idyllic and peaceful setting is located just 4 short miles from the stage of the World Famous Outdoor Elizabethan Theatre and 25 minutes to the big mountain's ski base. Providing an ambiance only a renovated 112-year-old general store can offer, our family-friendly cottage boasts comfortable, upgraded, rich interiors. Please let us know if you are celebrating a birthday or anniversary. We offer extra special touches at no cost to you! Enjoy your breakfast on the porch while enjoying wrap-a-round views of the majestic Siskiyou Mountains or share a picnic lunch by the pond with a loved one. You're sure to catch a view some of the native wildlife. We have a blue heron that visits the water's edge, a red-headed woodpecker who likes to sit on the garden's rose trellis, a family of roaming deer '''''' plus so much more! Breathe sweet, clean air while you wander thru our wide variety of organic fruit & nut trees. Feel free to pick and enjoy the delicious bounty of the season! This sacred land originally owned by John Beeson (recognized by history as "America's First Civil Rights Leader," due to his lifelong efforts to protect Native Americans), has been blessed by generations of The People. The Blue Feather Cottage is Kid/Family Friendly! There are so many wonderful family-centered activities in the area, you won't know which of them to choose first. Our location is beautiful AND accessible! The perfect combination - you're close to town, but still imagine having the out in the open mountain/country experience. Our organic fruit trees and berries are lush and we love to share them with guests! You and the kids can wander through the trees and pick the bounty of the season - there is NOTHING like eating a freshly picked apricot, cherry, black berry, apple, pear or plum! The Blue Feather Cottage is MUCH more than just a place to lay your head at the end of the day...it's a magical experience you'll always remember!

• Deposits: Reservations will be held seven days pending receipt of deposit. Balance is due 15 days prior to your arrival. We will charge your credit card automatically for your convenience, unless you choose to send us a check. You can also choose to pay with PayPal and complete our online Reservation Form. A two-night minimum stay is required with a deposit of half the amount of your total stay, to reserve the Blue Feather Cottage.
   
• Other Fees: Regarding PETS: We LOVE and welcome your FRIENDLY pet, but have found (from recent experience), that they require extra housekeeping. If you have a pet, please add the "pet rent" of $15.00 per night, per pet, to your cottage total. A $150 pet deposit is also required and will be FULLY REFUNDED if no damage occurs. Luckily, we live in Oregon where there are NO state taxes, and no other "hidden" fees, so what you see, is what we charge.

Our "Blue Feather Cottage" experience was nothing short of WONDERFUL!!! Susanna & family were welcoming and kind and helpful about what to do in the area and where to get great eats. Though they live on the property (2 acres away in a fabulous 1850's Victorian home), the cottage faces toward the Mountains, away from the house and we had COMPLETE privacy! The 100 year old trees, the beautifully kept gardens, and the incredible views from every angle...are nothing short of breathtaking and the cottage was comfortable and warm and cozy! The beds were VERY comfortable and the place was immaculate! We stayed 4 days and wished we could have stayed a month! The kitchen is so complete that we even baked our own fresh blackberry pie (the place abounds with fruit that is given to the cottage guests and they also provided fresh veggies for our BBQ!) This was the "get away" we really needed and we WILL be back for the ski season. MOST ROMANTIC PLACE WE'VE EVER STAYED! - Sandy & Frank & "Babies"

We were absolutely enchanted by the blue feather cottage. The surroundings are lovely, a large grassy orchard with fruit and nut trees and a little gazebo. You have a great view of the hills in the region. Alhough you are fairly close to the owner's house it is behind you and the cottage feels very private. The living area is roomy and there is a nice kitchen. The bed was luxuriously soft and had luxury linens ( I am a bed linen snob). The bathroom is small but charming with soft fluffy towels. You feel like you are in the country, but it is very close to all the amenities of Ashland. The owner is delightful and welcoming but not at all intrusive. She presented us with a jar of homemade berry compote on our arrival. We loved the property and can't wait to go back.
