Ashland is 20 minutes away, which proudly boasts the famous Shakespearian Festival. Jacksonville is minutes away featuring its Britt Festival every summer, bringing in nationally acclaimed musicians. Grants Pass, with its Rogue River Jet Boat excursions, are only 30 minutes away.

Day trips include: Crater Lake, Oregon Caves, the Oregon Coast, California Redwoods, Klamath Falls lava tubes and many mountain lakes.
