Had a wonderful time

June 14, 2012

Carole's place is larger than the photos show and really had everything we needed. Very comfortable bed, we barbecued and had lovely suppers outdoors many nights. Carole was helpful with advise re: hiking areas and a great hostess! I especially loved the backyard trees and jaybird residents. Hope we can return soon.

Beautiful house, great location

April 26, 2011

We stayed here for our annual visit to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. The location was perfect- just a couple of blocks from the theaters and in a beautiful neighborhood. The home was lovely with a four poster bed in the bedroom and a comfortable sofa bed in the living room. We only wished the weather had been better to enjoy the lovely patio and sitting area outside!

Awesome

Lovely cosy home, very well equipped kitchen and laundry. Beds were comfortable, gas heating kept the whole house warm. Easy 5-10 min stroll to main street and shops of Ashland.

not bad

October 12, 2010

It was clean enough--bathrooms, linens, (nice towels) etc, but the Goldfish crackers and hairs, etc. in the sofa was off-putting and the floor of the tub felt like soap scum. The inside of the cabinets were water-stained--it would have been easy to put a fresh liner down. The place seemed to have a well-equipped in the kitchen, although we neither cooked or did laundry. but it would have been nice to have a table on which to put toiletries in the bath. Also, bring your own soap. there were two teeny-tiny bars of cheap hotel soap for 4 people for 4 days. It would be so inexpensive and easy to provide soap in a pump bottle. I have stayed in vacation rentals in Ashland for over 30 years and this one fell a little short in terms of light--a very dark kitchen; in terms funky shower plumbing that worked, but looked like it might not; and in terms of some ambience--cover the laundry; add a place in the bath to put makeup, etc. and the other things mentioned above, clean the porch to invite its use -NOTE: one bedroom is up and one down-BUT BOTH BATHROOMS ARE ON THE MAIN FLOOR. There is no door to the upstairs bedroom, so if privacy is an issue, beware. Location is decent. We would stay there again, but I'll bring a hair dryer and hand soap and bath soap and a TV tray for the bathroom.

Wonderful stay

This home truly is charming. Owner takes wonderful care of the home. She gave us tips for things to do with our young girls and made us feel very welcome. Just a few blocks away from everything we needed...Lithia Park, downtown, Bear Creek bike trail. Definately will come back when we return to Ashland.
