Get back to nature and back to yourself at this Ashland vacation rental fondly called The Meadow House, a serene and lovely vacation home in beautiful Southern Oregon between Ashland, Oregon and Yreka, California. This vacation rental is situated on the edge of a meadow in a valley long held sacred by Native Americans and offers postcard perfect views of Mount Ashland and the Siskiyous. At night, unhindered by artificial lights, the stars illuminate the night with the Milky Way, constellations, and meteor showers.
This home was lovingly designed and built by a Buddhist nun, whose love for the land and attention to detail makes it a truly special retreat a short walk from the Tibetan Budhist Temple, Tashi Choling. The 24 acres border aspen groves, oak forests, and a creek -- wild animals and birds make this home. Pets love the open meadow and creek.
The house comfortably sleeps six guests in its two bedrooms and convertible sofas, though more are welcome to curl up on the extra mattresses and futons. There's a modern kitchen, satellite TV and WiFi Internet, laundry, a master guest suite and a lower level family room with plenty of space, board games, children's toys, a special library of books, CD's and DVD's and even a piano.
Oregon, the Beaver State, is full of waterfalls and even a few volcanoes at Crater Lake National Park, and Mt Shasta an hour south. Because this land is very cavernous, spelunking in the many caves is a favorite activity. You can explore the original Oregon Trail. Shopping is tax-free. The Oregon mountains and rivers provide visitors with recreation and breathtaking scenery. Choose from three vacation home rentals in the Colestin Valley near Ashland on the sunny southern slope of Mount Ashland. Take in concerts at the Britt Festival or Ginger Rogers Craterion Theater or the world-reknown Ashland Shakespeare Festival, or Oregon Stageworks.
