We found the place charming as a space for a couple, not so much for two couples. Photos make it look a bit more spacious than it is. There were three of us in the space and it worked. Any more, I'd say no way! Location is really top notch though. Right next to a Metro and along a fashionable walking district (cafes, bars & restaurants) right at your feet. One negative was that there is No hot water though they tell you to just turn on the water heater 30 minutes advance. It really didn't work for us, but maybe they've fixed??? It didnt matter much in heat of Summer, but one should inquire on this if weather is colder. Overall a good experience. I would actually give this 3 1/2 stars if it had let me.

Comfortable and quiet, November 11, 2008

I really enjoyed my week in this apartment. The building is quiet, and there is plenty of room for 4 people. I was a little worried about the neighborhood, because I had only ever stayed near the Acropolis, but I really loved it. It was very easy walking (30" to the Plaka if you go slow, 10 " to the interesting museums and Kolonaki Square), and even easier on the Metro. There were lots of shops and restaurants, and some good take-out places. Everyone at Athens Studio was helpful and kind. The apartment was a little old-fashioned (which I liked), but perfectly comfortable.

I spent a week by myself here, and could have comfortably stayed with my husband and 2 kids. Safe quiet building, good location. I could walk to Syntagma, museums (20"), to Olympeon and Acropolis (30"). Good Metro service too. Plenty of food shopping, nice restaurants and takeout around the corner. Breezy, no need for AC. People at Athens Studio were very nice and helpful, and they arranged for a cab to and from airport. Only complaint-- bathroom a little outdated, and there was not much in the way of supplies(i.e., no salt, dishtowels, extra linens). But the price was right, and you can flush the toilet paper.
