Description of the Athens vacation villa rental

Come to Greece and have a perfect holiday in the sun. See Athens and all it offers while you enjoy your vacation in our self catering vacation home by the sea. Have fun in the summer sun. Just walk out our front gate and enjoy a cool swim on a hot day just across the road at the famous Beach park of Agii Theodorii; There is no need to drive, take taxis, or ride the bus.

Unwind in the winter. Find pleasure in the solitude of nature with walks along the beautiful pathways in our park bordering the sea. Enjoy life and relax any time of the year; after all, that’s what vacations are all about. For the same price you will pay for a one bedroom Athens’ apartment, you can stay in our air conditioned beach home on the sea located within a 50 minute train ride to down town Athens. Both alternatives will give you Athens but WE include the sea, nature, space, privacy and all the comforts of home.

Our vacation home is strategically located for guests who want to not only enjoy the beautiful beach and park, but explore the country side. Access to Athens, ancient Corinth and Saint Paul's church, Mycenea, Epidaurus, Delphi, Olympia, Sparta and many other places are within an easy single day trip.

Enjoy the village life of Greece. See the Greek culture from close up, without any tourist trappings or McDonalds. Go for fresh bread every morning, walk on the boardwalk with the many taverns, coffee shops and ice-cream places.

The ultra modern high speed train stops every hour during the day and gets you to downtown Athens in less than 50 minutes. The national road is within a 10 minute drive from the cottage. The bus for Athens or Corinth stop[s several times a day in front of the cottage. The buses (thanks to the Olympics) are brand new, air-conditioned (no smoking) and relatively inexpensive.

The Park
The St Theodore Beach Park is located right across the road from our cottage. It is a very beautiful forested area next to the sea and is one of the most popular beaches in the Attica Athens’ area. The park has nice walkways for long walks or bicycle rides, a play ground for children, tennis and basket ball courts, as well as a couple of little taverns seaside restaurants by the water. It is located just across the street from our house.

Access
Downtown Athens and all of its attractions, as well as the Athens airport, are easily and rapidly accessible by car, high speed rail, or bus. With the completion of our new controlled access highway and our new high speed commuter train; St Theodore is now one of Athens’ "newest bedroom" communities. Commuting time to downtown or the airport but car, rail, or bus is only about one hour’s time. The train station with loads of free parking is a 15 minute short walk or 5 minute drive of the house. There is plenty of parking space. After exploring Athens and seeing its sites; , day trips into Corinth, Epidavos, Mycenae, Olympia, Cape Sounion, Marathon, and Delphi are all easily done from St Theodore.


St. Theodore
The village of St Theodore is easy walking distance from the home and offers anything and everything needed for an evening out on the town or a comfortable stay at home. There are multiple banks, pharmacies, super markets, eating places, and tourist shops.

The beautiful seashore boardwalk at St Theodore is a packed with restaurants, taverns and ice cream places; a bit of everything for the family to enjoy. The nearby town of Loutraki offers a delightful ice cream pallor nested in the side of a mountain overlooking the Bay of Corinth, hot mineral baths, and, for the gaming inclined, an excellent casino.
