Description of the Atlanta vacation cabin rental
We call it The Loveshack because we feel it's a great place to be with the ones you love. You may catch some fish, see a beautiful sunrise, listen to the loons, relax in our hammock or swing.. Whatever you do, we promise you will enjoy it here...
Property Details
The Loveshack is our personal 2 bedroom, 3 story cabin/house located on approximately 1 1/2 acres with 150 ft of natural shoreline frontage on beautiful, peaceful Crooked Lake - just 2 miles south of the town of Atlanta, Michigan. There are views of the lake from almost every window and two wonderful decks overlooking the lake...
The master bedroom, which is located on the lower level facing the lake, has a queen size bed. It is very private with a door that separates it from the main part of the lower level and also has an entry door that leads out to the lower deck for private access. There is also a full size futon and twin size bed in a separate room on the lower level for sleeping.
The upstairs loft bedroom has a full size bed.
Our kitchen is equipped with all the amenities (appliances, microwave, dishes, silverware etc.) We also have a BBQ grill for your use.
We have Direct TV, stereo with CD player, a DVD player and a VCR with some movies available for your use.
We provide linens for the beds, and ask that you put fresh linens on the beds upon departure. Please bring your own towels, washcloths and personal toiletries. We offer two cleaning fee options. You may either pay an additional $75.00 cleaning fee or we waive the fee in lieu of our renters cleaning the cabin before departure.
We have a private dock and a rowboat is included in the rental.
We truly love our Loveshack and enjoy sharing it..
We do ask that you please be very respectful of our personal belongings during your stay at the shack. We have many treasured things there that mean alot to us...
We believe once you stay at our Loveshack, you will want to return again and again to experience this magical place...

Area Description
Atlanta is a small, quiet town just perfect for getting away from it all. There is a nice grocery store in town, along with several bars, restaurants, library, video store and Family Dollar. We are located 34 miles east of Gaylord and 36 miles west of Alpena. We are approximately 60 miles southeast of Petoskey, and 90 miles south of the Mackinac Bridge.
Enjoy the peacefulness of being at the lake at our Loveshack, or going 2 miles uptown for a small town atmosphere. If you prefer more action, head to many surrounding places such as Gaylord, Alpena, Mackinac or Traverse City, where there are many things to do.. shopping, indoor water parks, go-karts, mini golf, antique shopping, skiing, etc. Then come home to the peace and quiet of the Loveshack. Absolutely the best of both worlds!

At times when I have been lonely I have visited the Loveshack (and Debbie). Thank goodness for great friends and wonderful surroundings. The Loveshack is where a person can kick back, relax and just enjoy the moment (as well as the many that will follow). By day a peaceful retreat of fishing and day trips (casinos, Mackinaw Island, Petoskey),and by night the heat from your bonfire (or your honey's arms)will ready you for the best night of sleep you've had in years! Come to Atlanta and the Loveshack and find out what you're missing!

The Loveshack is AWESOME! We usually spend every 4th of July there and it is the vacation we look forward to most every year. The lake is beautiful. The wrap-around deck is wonderful and is our favorite place to relax with a cup of coffee in the morning. The place is clean and well taken care of. There is a grocery store approx. 5 minutes away and we are always able to find something exciting to do, like parades, fireworks, Drag races, Bump and Run races, and golf. We've also taken day trips to Gaylord, Alpena, Mackinac, Petoskey, and Traverse City. There is so much to see up north. Whether you are looking for a nice, relaxing place for your vacation, or just a place to hang your hat while you explore upper Michigan, the Loveshack is an excellent choice!

I have been to the Loveshack many times, in all seasons, and it has been wonderful each and every time!!! Whether it has been with my family or just with the girls veggin out and watching movies, it is always a wonderful place to be! Thank you soooooo much for sharing this wonderful place with us! I will keep coming back for many years to come! Oh.. did I mention the MOON over the lake??? WOW!!! Just incredible!!! Susan
