Excellent Get-a-Way

This was our third visit............highly recommend if looking for a get-a-way. Sitting on the deck over-looking Huron Bay, the sound of the loons, watching the bald eagles, and the humming birds sends a relaxing message to ones senses. Excellent accommodations!

My girlfriend and I wanted a nice secluded area to spend my birthday at. A cozy home away from the city with a relaxing feel. This property is everything we wanted and a whole lot more. We expected it to be beautiful but our expectations were blown away! The weather really held for us as well. For it being in the fall, we still had 60 and 70 degree weather. To top it off, Hap and Maria(the owners), are absolutely wonderful people! Just from setting the reservation, to the preparation of yur arrival. They are truly great and genuine people. I am already looking at planning another trip there. I recommend this location to anyone!

Amazing Lakefront Vacation

My husband and I decided last minute to change our vacation to Michigan and take our extended family. Everyone had a fantastic time. Our daughter and niece (both in those pre-teen years)didn't want to leave and were begging to repeat the trip next year. The house was very clean, big, and beautiful. The pictures really don't do it justice. We swam everyday in the Lake and it was great to have the private dock area. The people in the area of Aura were very kind and welcoming. This is not a touristy kind of area which made the vacation more enjoyable. Everywhere we went we saw locals and really got a feel for how people live there. The nature sites were breathtaking. We took one day and went to all the waterfalls and the Indian Cemetery in the area. Another day we drove up to Copper Harbor and spent the day exploring Lighthouses. Hap and Maria, the owners, were very accomodating. They weren't kidding when they said all you need is food and beer for your stay. Everything was provided. We were told the cell phone service didn't work there, but my Sprint phone was able to get service on the deck, in the sauna/bathroom and by the satellite outside. Not that we bothered to call anyone. We didn't even use our watches for the whole week!!
