Description of the Austin vacation home rental

This is a cute, comfortable 2/1 guest house with 800 sq. ft. located on a private corner of the owner's second home property. House is on the second level providing park-like views and seclusion for guests. Windows look out on the pool or into wooded area behind house, not into neighboring houses. The master bedroom has a king size bed & overlooks the large swimming pool & heated spa. Second bedroom has one full/double bed, one twin bed, and a TV with satellite. Kitchen is fully equipped and wireless Internet is available - even by the pool! Plenty of off-street parking and convenient to shopping, music venues, and most major tourist attractions. House is in a unique neighborhood with lots of trees and privacy and a convenient location within an active community. Pets and kids over age 5 are welcome! Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the property!

Area Information

We are located in the heart of Austin near 29th & Guadalupe Sts, only a few blocks from the University of Texas campus, and a short distance from 6th Street, downtown, the Texas State Capitol grounds, and many other major tourist attractions. The Austin City Limits TV show (open for tours) and the ACL Music Festival are located nearby as are many of the SXSW showcase locations. Close to lots of local art galleries, live theaters, and historical music venues, as well as hike and bike trails. The University of Texas campus offers educational options too, such as art, music, sports, and sight seeing. UT also features the LBJ Presidential Library, the Bob Bullock State History Museum, the Blanton Art Museum, the Erwin Center, and Royal-Memorial Stadium. Lake Austin is nearby and has boating, canoe rentals, and lakeside restaurants where you can watch the sunset. Property is only a 30 minute drive from the captivating Texas Hill Country which offers wineries, unique wildflowers, and one-of-a-kind music and festivals.
