The hike and bike trail provides easy access to downtown. It is a car-free waterfront trail, 1/2 block from our front door. Popular with bikers, walkers and joggers, trees and wildflowers provide shade and beauty along this 10.3 mile trail which loops around the lake. Several pedestrian bridges cross into downtown with access points to live music venues, restaurants, shopping, museums, concert halls, the opera house and beyond. Don't miss the Congress Avenue Bridge, home to the largest Urban Bat Colony in the world!
Austin is the music capital of the world and is just a 10 minute ride to our famous 6th street area.
Restaurant Row is less than one mile from the apartment and Maria's Taco Express is just a mile down the road in the other direction.

We only stayed two brief nights in this eclectic townhouse, but they were most relaxing and even more so than most hotels I've stayed in. The accommodations were most enjoyable and the location in reference to all the places I had to go to was perfect. Not to mention we were able to WALK to Barton Springs, which everyone who ever visits Austin should be obligated to go to. All in all, one of the best stays in Austin ever.

The location was great! Restaurants near by. Close to downtown. Loved the proximity to the walking trails. The unit was fully stocked with plenty of blankets, pillows, towels, toiletries, and all the staples in the kitchen. We cooked several meals at home and everything, including spices, were provided. We just had to add a few groceries. I would recommend the rental to anyone who wanted to feel like a local for their stay. We had a great time! Thanks!

Loved the place!!! We wanted to take the sun table but couldn't fit it in our luggage. This is a great location with some cool stuff. We really liked the fish and the Texas shaped ice cubes. The bed was comfy and the towels were nice. Thank you for everything.

Fun Colorful Place! I enjoyed communicating with Lois. The location was great -walk to Barton Springs & Zilker Park. Bus stop on the corner. 2 miles and a $1 later & you are downtown. There was an issue with the cable tv box but was recified promptly. I would totally stay at any of Lois' places in the future and if you are reading this, I recommend you do as well. My thanks to Lois, Stan and her beautiful neighbor Gary. We had a Great Stay!

This is a true reflection of Austin! Funky, Fun and Fabulous! I had a perfect view of the huge Christmas tree in Zilker Park and the amazing Austin City skyline. It's the best being able to walk to famous Austin restaraunts such as Chuys, Romeo's, and Austin Java just to name a few. Thankfully it was not too cold. I was 7-10 minutes from parties downtown, work-outs at Mecca, Town Lake, and Whole Foods. The neighborhood is great and there is a small corner store. I was minutes away from all major roadways I-35, 290 and Mopac and shopping at Barton Creek Mall. The property is very clean, has all the amenities listed, including a cappuccino machine--yumm yum! I enjoyed the Huge-fluffy bed with soft, soft linens and of course a very unique clear toilet tank with a fish named "lover boy." It has a great Austin look very ecclectic and lots of color. Overall great experience!! I definitely will be staying here again soon! SC

As a former resident of this exact unit, I can attest to what a wonderful space it is. It is sooo peaceful and yet so close to so much. It really was a perfect place to live in Austin and I think anyone renting it for a stay would leave with nothing but great memories and a rejuvenated spirit!
