AMAZING!

This place was by far totally amazing in every way. We actually wished it was our real home! We had a great stay, it was nice and clean and any basic item you might need was already supplied. We were definitely spoiled compared to what we are used to at home. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a nice relaxing vacation. It does not matter if you are a couple, or have kids or animals it's perfect for everyone. I cannot wait to go back!!!!! The pictures do not do the place justice at all. It's way more beautiful once you see it!!!

First Time to OBX

It was my first OBX experience so I really didnt know what to expect on a trip there. I feel fortunate to have found Fred's Shed which was a wonderful single family home that nicely accommodated my large family (5 children). The beach was a short walk from the property and there are grocery and restaurant options very near. We were sunburned pretty badly by our second day there, but staying inside to recover was very pleasant. It felt like being at home. It was peaceful and the owners did an excellent job with handling the reservation and returning the security deposit within a couple of days of our return. Our family now has many pleasant memories of our first trip to OBX, and I suspect that it will not be our last. I would highly recommend Fred's Shed and we may very well return to the home in the future.

Great Place to Stay!

We had a wonderful time at Fred's Shed. We had 5 adults and 3 children ages 5 and under. We had more then enough room for everyone. The pictures do not do the place justices. All for 4 rooms were large enough you could have added a full size blow up matter. The kitchen was very clean and well stocked with dishes for cooking. The bathrooms were also very clean plus the upstairs has a HUGE jetted bath tub. The house has a great location, only a 2 minute drive to the grocery store and some great restaurants. The beach is only a short 3 - 5 minute walk across the street. My family and I really enjoyed ourselves at Fred's Shed and hope to go back again soon.

Excellent vacation spot

The house has lots more room inside than you can tell from the pictures. The location is excellent and very close to various restaurants and stores. It is easily within walking distance to the beach and the fenced in back yard makes for a dog's dream vacation spot.

Awesome Vacation

Fred's Shed was an awesome house. It was a short walk to the beaches. Weahter was perfect every day. House had everything we needed and more. Grilled in back yard, went to 5 light houses, ate lots of seafood, walked to DQ every night, took ferry to island, had two picnics on beach.village grocery had needed items, everyone very friendly. Hope to come back soon.

We were happily surprised at how great Fred's Shed is! The pictures don't do it justice, it is actually even better than they show. It was very clean, well organized, close to the beach, convenient to the major food store, and the owner was very pleasant to work with while we were in the planning stages of our trip. Great location- about a 5 min walk to beach access paths from your choice of side streets. Wide beaches and no crowds! Comfortable home and just 3 lots away from Dairy Queen! Nice large yard for your pets. Owner was great and easy to deal with. The next door neighbor is great if you need help with anything!

Location and house great. Close to pier and shopping. Nice safe neighborhood and very relaxing, especially since it was after our wedding. We both enjoyed the stay and hope to return next year.

Review Text: "The house was very well-kept and clean and very comfortable. The fenced in backyard was perfect for our two dogs and with one dog that can jump over fences- the fence was too tall for him to jump. We had four teenage boys and the house was great for them- plenty of room.
Close to the beach and restaurants. We had a great time and everyone really enjoyed themselves and actually got along without any fights. So the house was big enough to give each their space. I would definately recommend this house to a friend and would stay there again the next time we plan to go to the Cape Hatteras area. "
