Villa Rosalena in Tuscany offers the rare combination of stunning views yet easy walking distance to bars and restaurants and good local public transport. Villa Rosalena is a historic villa which combines traditional Tuscan charm with all you need to relax and enjoy your self catering vacation. The four large bedrooms are very elegant and stylish with crisp white cotton linens and all have modern ensuite shower room. Sleeps 8 adults, with the possibility of extra beds for children.

The loggia with its three terracotta arches gives amazing views over the river, old stone bridge and townscape the magical small spa town ow Bagni di Lucca. It's the ideal spot to relax in the early evening sunshine, then watch the moon and stars come out, with a nice glass of wine close at hand! With a lounge, dining room and kitchen there is ample space.

Outside the terraced gardens offer places to is in sun and shade, a splash pool to cool off on hot days and a brick chimney barbecue for outdoor grilling. There are many fruit trees and fresh herbs and guests are encouraged to help themselves to home grown tomatoes and vegetables.

The villa is in an elevated position which gives excellent views form every window. As it is reached by a series of steps it is unfortunately no suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

Villa Rosalena is ideally located for visiting northern Tuscany, with the 'must see' cities of Lucca, Florence, Pisa all easy to reach by train or car. With a car the Cinque Terre and Siena can also be visited as day trips.

The area around Bagni di Lucca and the Garfagnana is superb for scenic walks in the hills, taking in medieval stone hill villages.

The railway station at Bagni di Lucca is only 2km from Villa Rosalena. The nearest bus stop is only 3 minutes on foot.

The piazza at Ponte a Serraglio is 5 minutes walk from Villa Rosalena, with an excellent bar, coffee and pastry shop, home made ice creams, 3 restaurants and small local shops. the nearest suopermarket is 5 minutes by car or 15 minutes on foot.
