Description of the Baldwin vacation cottage rental
This beautiful year round home has eveything from spices to linens. Built in 2002 on 100 ft. of lake frontage, great swimming, fishing, wooded, private, quiet, no -wake lake located in the chain of lakes and has access to 3 lakes.
Features: 20 ft. pontoon, gas, 4 kayaks, pedal boat, canoe, volley ball, tether ball, horseshoes, boat dock, swim dock, gas grill & gas, Charcoal grill and charcoal, professional fire pit and dried oak wood, bird feeders, woods, sun and shade. Nice large deck over looking the lake.
This like new home has 3 bedroom and 1 1/2 baths. On the main floor you have the rear entry way with washer and dryer, full bath, 1 bedroom with a large double bunk with a double on the bottom and a single on the top with a double pull out new mattress under the bunk. Nicely equiped kitchen with granite-top rolling island with wine rack. Kitchen has a disposal, toaster, cutting board,dishwasher, refridgerator, microwave, plenty of silverware, cubboards, and dishes and wine glasses. The kitchen is open to the dining room and living room and these all have views of the lake and fireplace. The Great room opens to the large deck with two sets of tables and chairs with unbrellas and will seat ten persons.
An open staircase leads to a large loft master bedroom with half bath and a view to the fireplace down below and a large half round window with a great view of the lake and sunsets. The 1/2 bath has a skylight and access to the 3rd private bedroom which has a large window with a view to the lovely planted berm, lawn and wooded area.The upper rooms have catheral ceilings as well.The decor reflects a refined hunters lodge feel. Very warm,charming and well appointed.
The home has a new 32 inch flat screen HD TV with DVD, Video, and stereo. The stone/wood real wood- burning fireplace is a lovely addition during the cold weather.
All bedding,linens, life jackets, and toiletries are provided.We also welcome our guests with a gift basket which includes chocolates,assorted teas,popcorn and a lovely bottle of wine. You just need your first mate and bait!Rest,relax,and rejuvinate at Riggs'Retreat.
In this heavily wooded area which has 1000's of acres of state and federal land and 156 lakes in the county you will not be bored. We have snowmobile trails,quad trails,and awesome hunting and fishing. The Pere Marquette River is one of the best and perhaps the best fishing for Steelhead and Cohoe river in the entire state.
We have many restaurants, and the golf course is just 10 minutes away. If you want to water ski or if you have a para sail, Big Star Lake is only 10 min. away as well and your "need for speed" will be satified if you like that sort of thing.
North of us you have great downhill skiing, at Caberfae, Sugar Loaf and many other ski lodges. In the Grand Traverse area you have the beautiful bay, public beach, and a super discount mall. There are many more beautiful northern Michigan areas and it's nice to visit some during the day and come back to the lake home for an ice cold beer, martini, glass of wine or coffee ,and fish or just lay in the hammock and nap!

We supply cleaning supplies, plenty of life jackets, hotdog forks, gas, charcoal, wood, iron, fish cleaning table and hose, lounge chares and chair for the firepit. We think we offer more than anyone at a great loan price, especially when you consider a ponton can cost you $750.00 a week or more and you pay for the gas and large security deposit.

that's when our check in time in 3PM and check out 11AM due to being booked. Our Depost for a week is $450.00 Weekend rental in the off season start at $275 for 2 peoele and goes up from there, the is $250.00. During the off season we allow different check in and out times. Min. rent is $275 for two nights and we will also rent my the month. Not longer than a month, exceptions can be made, for a company executive,or if your building.
- Other Fees: None unless ther is cleaning and or damage. Please ask about our specials or deals no matter what season you are interested in. We do special occasions and Holidays and will do sometihg specila for you as well. So if you want a susprise party and want us to do something for you we are opent to many ideas and will go out of our way to make something happen.
