It was the best of times!!!

September 30, 2009

We totally enjoyed the two weeks spent at our rental. The beach was beautiful. We used the home as a base for day trips all around the area. Day trips to Beara, Dingle pennisula, Killarney and many walks in and around the Ballinskelligs. We hiked up Bolus Head, to the old Abbey and graveyard. Spent a day on Valencia Island. On one of our walks we picked a large pan full of blackberries and used a recipe from one of the two books at the home and baked a wonderful blackberry cobbler served with cream. The home was a great place to spend everyother day just relaxing between side trips. It will be one of our most memorable vacations. Almost forgot the great times at Rosie's pub in Dungegan and Cable's just a few steps up the beach. The area folks were so warm and friendly and proved a great resource for ideas on small area roads to travel.

Dear Martina
Thank you so much for allowing us to take your lovely house over Christmas and New Year. We had a wonderful time and loved being so close to the Bay and the magnificent scenery and being able to share a happy time with family and friends both with us and close by. The house was very comfortable and we loved the central room with its beautiful views and space for us all.

Hi Martina, Sorry to have taken so long to get back to you. Just wanted to let you know that we very much enjoyed our stay in Co Kerry in your lovely house. We were blessed with magical weather and really enjoyed the location. The beach is magnificent and we were lucky enough to see a couple of Dolphins close to the shore one day when the tide was in.
I did take some of the business cards that you had left in the kitchen and I'll be sure to let anyone here who expresses an interest in staying in Ireland to get in touch with you.
Once again thanks very much.
