Come stay in our beautiful log cabin located on the shoulder of Grandfather Mountain in the North Carolina Mountains. It is located in a gated development and is tucked away down a long driveway with no other cabins in sight. There is a lower back deck that overlooks a beautiful mountain creek. It has both a large stone wood burning fireplace and a wood stove to keep you warn and toasty in the Fall and Winter. It is the perfect vacation getaway all year round.
Winter time is Ski Time and our cabin is located only 10 minutes away from Sugar Mountain Ski Resort and Hawksnest Ski Resort and about 20 minutes away from Beech Mountain Ski Resort.
Spring time is the perfect time for Hiking , Fly Fishing , and Sight seeing in the North Carolina High Country. There are trails for beginners, skilled hikers, and everyone in between. If you are not interested in hiking, just drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway and back roads and stop at the overlooks for breath taking views ( don't forget your camera ).
Summer time is the perfect time to come up and escape the heat in the cities. When the temperatures climb up towards 100 degrees and the humidity is making you melt, just head up to our cabin and COOL OFF. The cabin is located at an altitude of 4,000 + feet, so it is nice and cool in the summer. The high at our cabin last summer was 79 degrees and it was only that hot 6 or 7 days all summer. It is a great time to go : hiking, sight seeing, fly fishing, white water rafting, outlet and boutique shopping, art gallery shopping, restaurant hopping, or just sit back and relax with a good book in the hammock.
Fall.....boy are you in for a big surprise. The Fall Colors in our area are unbelievable. If you have not experienced the changing of the leaves in the NC Mountains in October each year, than you have missed Mother Nature's Color Extravaganza. It is hard to describe just how beautiful it is up here at that time of year. The reds, oranges, and yellows mixed in with the ever greens will truly take your breath away.....don't forget your camera !!!!!

Our cabin is located only minutes away from Boone, Banner Elk , Blowing Rock, Valle Crucis , and Linville Appalachian State University and Lees McCrea College are both only minutes away.
