Description of the Banner Elk vacation cabin rental

Mountain Lodge is a 9 bedroom, 9 bathroom (all suites) that sleeps 26 guests as comfortably as you will find in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Located between Boone and Banner Elk, you will be less than 15 minutes to the major ski slopes, major tubing slopes as well as Boone NC and only minutes from Grandfather Mountain and the quaint town of Valle Crucis.

Level land and easy access, hiking trails from the back door, nice backyard and a COMMUNITY HEATED SWIMMING POOL AND TENNIS COURTS. Huge front porch overlooking the community amenities and a nice back deck with large grill for cooking 50+ hamburgers at a time!

Nine private bedrooms sleeping 2-6 per bedroom, each with an en suite bathroom (9 private bedroom suites). Huge "dining hall" type living room so everyone can eat together, big TV, two fireplaces and large open floor plan. Pool table is a center point to the home as well as foosball, a workout room with nautilus weights and treadmill.

You will LOVE Mountain Lodge, finally a cabin in the area that can sleep 20+ comfortably, 26 to be exact!

Mountain Family Reunion

January 4, 2013

Wow, what a perfect house for a large group. There was plenty of room for several activities at the same time. The men watching football in one room. The women watching a movie in den and teenagers playing games in dining area. The kitchen was large and well equipped. Nice that each of the 9 bedrooms had there own bathrooms. The house was close to all the winter sports' areas. We even had a little snow which all the Flordians enjoyed. Everyone wants to have a summer reunion here sometime in the future.

This home is absolutely wonderful! Everything was clean and up to date. The layout of the home was very nice for large group with many couples. The property is close to many area attractions. I have planned the annual family gathering for 3 years now - and I was told this was the best and we are now considering adding a summer get together here as well as future winters. Thank you Alan and Carol for the use of this beautiful property!

Overall, this was a lovely house and we had a great experience. We had a group of 20 people (including children), and with the 9 rooms and 9.5 baths, never once felt crowded (each room has its own bath! Huge plus, though sometimes the water pressure was low). The kitchen was more than up to the task of feeding us, and we had more than enough space to spread out. The pool table and foosball tables were a hit as well, and there was enough common space to congregate when we wanted to. The house is conveniently located near some hiking options, and is a short drive from skiing, tubing and ice skating. There are restaurants and convenience stores within a 5 minute drive. We would highly recommend renting this house if you have a big group â�� we definitely plan on coming back!

We had a wonderful weekend & a wonderful time at your home! We absolutely loved the house- the beds were ultra comfy, rooms were incredible. Convenient to several slopes & towns. The only trouble we had was in hooking up our laptop to the big screen for our Bible studies- the jacks in the back were really hard to get to- I was glad we brought an AV extension cord so we could leave that plugged in until we left & switch out devices (laptop, Wii) from our cord- you might consider adding one to your big screen TV for future guests. Thank you so much for renting your home to us- we surely felt the presence of the Lord there this weekend. I'm going to speak to the ladies in our church about maybe using your home for our fall ladies' retreat if it's available. Our youth are already talking about coming back next year :)

We enjoyed a family reunion at this house. All adults and children (aged 5-21) had privacy and plenty of space to run around and play. The pool table and living area were a big hit. Everyone had their own bedroom and bath, a nice plus. The kitchen was wonderfully stocked with cooking ware. There were many things to do in the area. We especially enjoyed our outing to Grandfather Mountain and the outlet malls.
