Description of the Banner Elk vacation condo rental
Enjoy breathtaking views at 5100 feet in our 3 bedroom condo. Our condo contains two private bedrooms (King and Queen) with bathrooms and one lofted bedroom with bathroom. The loft bedroom has a queen size bed and a futon couch that can also be used as a queen bed. There is internet, cable TV, full kitchen, linens and more.

Our condo is a prefect place to getaway, relax and enjoy the tranquility of the mountains. From the deck and living room you can experience astonishing Appalachian views, including Roan Mountain.

There are a variety of seasonal activities, festivals and events offered year round; some of our favorites include: Grandfather Mountain (year-round),the Woolly Worm Festival, Oktoberfest and Blue Ridge Parkway Fall Color Tour in October, Skiing Sugar Mountain (just a short walk from our unit) and Christmas activities in the winter, Rhododendron & mountain Laurel blooming in the spring, blueberry picking and zip-line tours in the summer. There are an abundance of hiking opportunities within the area as well as a short drive from the Appalachian trail. Other outdoor adventures include: whitewater rafting, snow tubing, fly fishing, spelunking (caving) and more.
In addition, the area offers a unique variety of sports, arts, theater, dining and shopping culture. Tennis, golf, swimming, mountain biking & cycling, YMCA among other athletic activities. Restaurants range from local tapas cuisine to culinary food art as well as authentic Mexican to Italian. Experience the Banner Elk Winery or enjoy a day of shopping at local stores or the Tanger Outlet Mall in Blowing Rock. Family friendly activities like the Tweetsie Railroad, horseback riding at Leatherwood or a day at Grandfather Mountain will surely suffice. Lees-McRae College hosts a variety of events, continuing to culture the community including: theater, community farmer's market and collegiate athletics.
