This newly renovated ( 12-29-08 ) cottage offers a great vacation house in the Mountains for a romantic getaway or family vacation. It is centrally. Cottage on the Round is a spacious one bedroom ( Queen Serta bed ) with all new interior that includes hardwood floors, Full size sleeper sofa, a gas fireplace, a fully stocked kitchen, new appliances, games for the kids ( playstation, board games ) and all the extras that make this cottage a great place to stay. The living room, with a sleeper sofa,new 32" DVD/HDTV, has a wonderful gas fireplace and is decorated with an upscale mountain motiff. The living room looks out onto a private deck that is surrounded by native hemlocks and rhododendrons and also has a private hot tub to sit in and listen to the bullfrogs sing their summer songs. The peace and beauty of this spot will make you want to come back again and again.

It is centrally located near Boone, Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls, Sugar and Beech Mountain Ski Resorts. Great mountain views. Shopping, moviehouse and Resturants.

This cottage is in a private community with it's own groomed trails to the top of the mountain, swimming pool, tennis courts, ponds, fishing, playground, horseshoes, and volleyball. The river is a short walk across the street, feel free to use the fishing poles provided to catch your very own rainbow trout. Use the bikes for a morning ride through the community. Tennis rackets and balls provided for quick game of tennis. Be sure to relax on the swing by the pond, while listening to the soothing sounds of the river. For our winter season guests, 2 sleds are available for your enjoyment.

• Other Fees: A $60 cleaning charge is added to all rentals. There is a $25 pet fee for people that wish to bring their pet.

This little cottage is just about perfect in every way, very clean and cozy, nicely decorated and well stocked with the conveniences of home. The location was great, making access to local sights easy. The reasonable rental fee made our 3 day mini vacation possible. We will definitely stay in the cottage again, hopefully soon.

My husband and I rented the cozy cottage for our anniversary weekend and it was a peaceful experience. We did absolutely nothing but lounge around the cottage and enjoy each other's company without the sound of children in the background. It was almost too peaceful the first night. At the end of our stay, I realized it was the first time in a long time that I didn't have to think about anything but relaxing. To my surpise the cottage was exactly as described and pictured by the owner. The owner was great and worked with our family's schedule for arrival and departure times. It was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back.

My husband and I stayed in this cottage for a couple of days. It was absolutely beautiful, just as the surroundings were. It was convenient to area attractions, restaurants, and shopping. We were beyond pleased with our time spent there. I can't think of any way there could be any improvements. It was perfect!

We had a wonderful time we had at your cottage in Banner Elk! The location was great and we hiked at Grandfather Mountain on day and tubed on the New river the next day. I was surprised at how much there was too do since I usually only think of the mountains for skiing in the winter. The downside is now I've discovered that I'm addicted to gem mining! This is a great value for a couple or small family. We looking forward to planning to coming back.

We thoroughly enjoyed out stay at the cottage. We were there for 3 nights and 4 days. We wanted a romantic get away and we got it at the cottage. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely return to the cottage for another get away.
