Three Maples is perfect for a weekend getaway or extended stay. Just a short drive to winter sports at Beech Mtn., Sugar Mtn. & Hawksnest. The village of Banner Elk has a beautiful playground park, upscale and family restaurants and a full schedule of popular plays at Lees-McRae College. In Blowing Rock, just a scenic drive away, explore the upscale shops, plus a park and ice cream shop for the kids. Grandfather Mountain, 15 minutes away, is famous for top-of-the-world views, Mile-High Swinging Bridge, waterfall hikes and zoo. There are fabulous restaurants within 5 minutes and the shopping is excellent. Drive into Boone, approximately 20 minutes from the cottage, for evening entertainment.

Vacation Rental Policies
- Payment Options: Money Order, Personal Check
- Check In: 2 p.m.
- Check Out: 10 a.m.
- Required Stay: Minimum 2 nights
- Deposits: 50% of the rental amount with the signing of an NC Vacation Rental Agreement; 50% of the rental amount, $100 cleaning fee and $100 security deposit a week before the rental begins. The Security Deposit is to be paid by separate check and will be voided and returned if there is no damage to the property.
- Other Fees: The rates quoted are for four (4) guests. Additional guests: $25 per person, per day. Rates subject to change. Please review the rates before confirming reservation. Tenant signing the lease must be 21 years of age, or older.

The location of the cabin to town and other locations is excelent. The furnishings and decorations were very nicely done, with everything that you would want to have for a vacation getaway. We loved having a garage to park your vehicle in, so as not to have to go out into the rain once you do get back from where ever you have been. The outside fire place was very warm and nicely decorated with enough furniture for everyone to have a confortable seat with tables for your drinks or whatever you are having. Loved our stay at this ca 1920 cottage on a quiet woodsy old lane. Out the bedroom window is an apple tree by a mountain brook, with hillsides beyond.
While it was snowy outside, the gas logs in a large stone fireplace warmed up the whole place. If you just want to stay in, there's a great kitchen with lots of pots for cooking.
Drove up a curvy road behind the cottage to see some beautiful vistas and found ourselves in the highest town east of the Mississippi (Beech Mt). Who knew!?

If you are looking for adventure or a peaceful mountain getaway here is your chance. This roomy quaint cottage is prefect for the whole family; this location puts you right in the middle of an adventurous fun filled days with a winery, theme park, and shopping all within driving distance. If nature is what you want you can see plenty of scenery from the car or get out and do any of the many tours, parks rafting, canoeing or skiing. Then dine at any of the great dining places right there in Banner Elk or any of the other neighboring towns. With all of that said two of the most relaxing hours I have ever had were just sitting out on the front porch listening to the babbling brook nearby. Owner Supplied Testimonials

Your place exceeded expectations. The pictures were good, but it's hard to capture such amazing scenery in a photo. My only complaint is that I could not stay longer.
To start, the location is perfect. For people renting ski equipment, I recommend extreme ski rentals which is across from Sugar. Your location in reference to Sugar is perfect for anyone without a 4-wheel drive.
Second, interior of the home was very cozy. We constantly had the gas log fireplace running, and the place was warm with it at 1 degree outside. The place was very clean, and your household list was very reasonable to comply with.
Overall, was a great place at a great price. Thanks for being accessible and accommodating our last minute plans. We will be back!

Our family had a wonderful Christmas vacation at Three Maples, immensely enjoying the heated tiled bathroom floor, beautiful claw foot bathtub, fully updated & furnished kitchen, and beautiful stone fireplace. We enjoyed several home-cooked meals during our stay, and delightfully, the kitchen did not lack for any appliance any cook would need! Having a washer & dryer added to the convenience of several days away from home. Additionally, access to telephone, cable television and the internet was conveniently provided. Closet space was plentiful, as well.

Three Maples is the perfect get-away from it all, or not, (get away from the action) cottage. It's in a quiet neighborhood with a well wooded yard providing privacy. It has all the comforts of home and is equipped with everything you need. You can enjoy swinging in an outdoor swing before a cozy outdoor fireplace in the covered breezeway area or sit on the front porch and enjoy the quiet neighborhood. On warm days you can dine on the patio in back. If you have to have television, it's there with cable. If you want to venture out, you're convenient to interesting shops to explore, fine dining, casual dining, hiking, water adventure, and more. We spent a wonderful weekend there and found the above amenities perfect for us.

We loved our visit to Banner Elk this fall, and discovered that Three Maples is a wonderful place to call “home”. It is THE quintessential mountain cottage, comfortably furnished and updated in every way (living space, kitchen, bath and bedrooms), and it served our 3-generation group perfectly (2 grandparents, 2 parents, 2 girls). We explored the area and found more to do than time allowed, so we’re already planning another trip! Our granddaughters loved their upstairs bedroom (with the day/trundle bed), but since it was such a gorgeous weekend, wanted to spend their free time outside playing on the rope swing and in the backyard!! The trip to the gem mine in Foscoe was their favorite outing…they went home with extensive rock collections for “Show and Tell”!

I had the most enjoyable time I've ever experienced in the mountains that weekend at Banner Elk. Everything anyone could wish for is nearby -- Grandfather Mountain, Linville Caverns, walking trails, great food and shopping. The cottage is so cozy one feels right at home. We enjoyed evenings sharing drinks and conversations in the private
