Description of the Banner Elk vacation home rental

This large upscale home is decorated with a farmhouse flair. Thanks to the wall of windows you can gaze out at the woods and distant treetops from most
rooms and huge deck of this lovely 3BR 3BA home.

The central location of the double sided wood-burning fireplace makes this home especially comfortable since you can enjoy the blaze from the kitchen and
dining area as well as from the living area of the great room. Stretch out in matching recliners after a day of skiing, golf, or sight seeing. This area
also contains a new queen sleeper sofa.

The modern open kitchen with granite countertops is fully-equipped with everything you might need including dishwasher and icemaker. The full sized washer
and dryer are nearby in the utility area.

The master BR and BA are on the entrance level of the home. The master BA is huge, having a
claw foot tub and 2-head shower. The main level also has a second BR with 2 twin beds as well as the second Bath.

The third BR with queen sized bed and another BA are on the lower level of the home. This level also has a gameroom with a full size futon and a game/card
table.

 Nice Get-A-Way - Needs a little updating, January 5, 2008

Nice get-a-way for when you really want to be at the slopes and only for that reason, slope was not open at the cabin when we went. If I ever go back to this cabin, I will buy Insurance. I was never told that the insurance would cover the difference in peak and off seasons. I found this out after I was there and read the paperwork in this house. I was told that the insurance was for medical accidents and up to 20k. Carpet is stained and there was food crumbs and stuff everywhere. Sofa is severly worn and is supported by a pc of plywood. I spent my first day there cleaning house and windows and trying to unclog the vacuum cleaner. Basement Bedroom and bath has inadequate heat. (This may be because you can feel the air coming in from the floor and windows - Take lots of socks!!!!) On the upside: It has great TVs, surround sound, nice view and super cell phone reception!
