Description of the Bar Harbor vacation chalet rental

The contemporary chalet style log home is designed with the Maine vacationer in mind. It has the perfect accomodations for use by a family looking for a getaway or a group of friends for a reunion. The interior is of the traditional style; the architecture is comfortable and airy. The Maine home has a three story split plan that includes two bedrooms, extra large sleeping loft with sitting area, two bathrooms, fully appointed kitchen, washer and dryer, dining room and living room. The family room on the lower level has a sitting area suitable for an office, and of course there is a large wrap around deck.

The Log Chalet coastal vacation rental home, located in Bar Harbor on Mount Desert Island Maine, sits atop the hillside of Frenchman's Bay providing views and access to Frenchman's Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.

We have furnished this vacation rental home to easily accommodate six adults. We offer the standard amenities that we desire when we vacation including: fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, television and VCR/DVD. Television service is provided by CableTV.

Area Information

Our beautiful Log Chalet is within minutes of Acadia National Park, downtown Bar Harbor, Northeast Harbor, and Southwest Harbor. Mt. Desert Island is an area rich with vacation activities for people of all ages. Bar Harbor and Mt Desert in general is a wonderful place to vacation, the rock-bound coast and soaring granite cliffs are spectacular. From the stonewall-lined and tree-covered road leading you into our village, to the sweeping vistas from atop Cadillac Mountain, there is a special mystique to Bar Harbor. Nestled on the east side of Mt. Desert Island, surrounded by Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor has welcomed visitors for over a hundred years. Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park have a wide variety of offerings for visitors. There truly is something for everyone and our Bar Harbor Maine vacation rentals provide the perfect accommodations from which to base your vacation.

Great vacation experience

Wonderful place to stay with the family. We had beautiful surroundings and the house had everything we needed. Acadia National Park was the perfect place to go as a family. We might just go back another year with friends.

Six of us stayed here for a week and there was plenty of room for us. The oldies had the double and king beds on the ground floor, the two boys had the huge loft and another had the basement to herself along with her own bathroom. Previous guests (and we) left things behind so check what's in the cupboard before you head to Hannafords in Bar Harbor for supplies. Things like tea bags, sauces, ice cream, oven chips etc. The deck was well used for coffee in the morning and cocktails at night as well as when we barbecued and we loved watching the sunset. Great to have the washer and dryer too and am sure the stove would have been great if needed but not in July. There are fans throughout and it was warm so well used. All in all, a great place to stay. Clean and well equipped. About ten minutes from town where we loved Rupununis bar, Poor Boys restaurant and whale watching.
