Description of the Bar Harbor vacation cottage rental
A charming 1920's cottage once part of a larger estate now is nestled in a private very quiet lane. Downstairs has a living room with a wood burning fireplace, kitchen with dining area, 1/2 bath, laundry, storage area for bikes etc, and sunroom for reading or doing puzzles that looks out onto the enclosed garden. There is a side porch facing the garden. The upstairs has 3 bedrooms and a full bath.
Area Description
The cottage is located in town within walking distance of restuarants and shops. It is located just a couple of hundred yards from one of the entances to the shore path that wraps a mile along the shore of Bar Harbor. It's a great place to take your morning coffee and sit on the rocks and watch the morning activities in Frenchman's Bay.
It is in walking distance of the YMCA, the farmer's market on Sunday mornings and of course a short drive to Acadia National Park with all its numerous and wonderful activites: hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, etc.
