Charming furnished 3 bedroom "SummerHouse" located in the heart of Bar Harbor. Full porch, in residential area one block up from Bar Harbor's famous sand bar linking to Acadia Nat'l Park's Bar Island. Bar Harbor's Historic District is 1 block away. Fully furnished, full kitchen,dining room, living room, and baseboard heat. The complete small town living experience in a world-class resort area. A Queen-size bed in the Master Bedroom & a Full-size bed in BR#2 allow couples who are traveling together to each have "Master-bedroom" accommodations.September/October "Long Fall Weekends" that include Dinner &/or Breakfast "out" at nearby restaurants are available for couples.

The Summer House is located in the heart of Bar Harbor, one block up from Acadia National Park's Bar Island, with it's famous sand bar,tidal pools, & spectacular views & sunsets. Close to kayaking, fishing, the Town Beach,whale-watching, shopping, theaters, restaurants, museums, library, hospital, historic churches, shore path, Y.M.C.A. and FREE bus transportation to Acadia National Park's attractions and other MDI towns and villages.

Deposits: Rentals will be considered "booked" upon receipt of one half of rental cost. Rentals will be considered "confirmed" upon receipt of the second half payment, due at least 2 weeks before start of rental.
Payment Options: Cashier's Check, Money Order, Personal Check
Other Fees: A security deposit of $400.00 is expected with first half of rental cost. The security deposit of $400.00 will be returned to the renter upon completion of the rental period followed by an inspection of the owner. A cleaning service fee of $65.00 will be ducted from security deposit.

wonderful retreat home right in town

Mike and family are wonderful! He was there to meet us, left us some goodies and rations for the week, answered any questions, etc. perfect service! The location is amazing! The house is cozy (there were 5 of us) , but has everything you need, beds, wifi, a wonderful deck, and the perfect location! We would love to come back again.

We had a lovely time (again - this is our second stay at the Summer House) at the Summer house. Highly recommend it! Perfect location: a block from the sand bar, a block to the supermarket, and to all the stores in Bar Harbor (ice cream!) and gorgeous Acadia just a bike ride away...

Great Vacation!

We had a great vacation at the Summerhouse! The house is the perfect spot in Bar Harbor- we never had to use our car all week! It is easy to access restaurants, shopping, and much more within walking distance of the house. Acadia National Park is only a short ride away (by free busses!) The house is very comfortable and provides for a nice relaxing week away. The owner is so friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this property!

The owner, Mike, is a great guy. He was very helpful and fun to be around. The house was immaculately clean and the location is understanding. It seems to me that one would have a difficult time finding a better bargain to enjoy Bar Harbor! Art DuBois

Wonderful vacation home!

October 25, 2007

We had the pleasure of renting this home this past summer and had a fabulous family vacation! The house was immaculate. Michael, the owner, welcomed us with fresh Maine blueberry muffins, milk and animal crackers for our children, coffee,& OJ for the morning. We had ample room for the 4 of us, 2 adults, 2 small children. The house was 1 block from the ocean and an amazing sandbar at low tide that our children loved, and was walking distance from everything in downtown Bar Harbor. Acadia Nat'l Park is so beautiful with more outdoor activities than you can think of. We loved it and will continue to return year after year!
