Area Description

The area has its own Rambla, with cafe/restaurant terraces, or the famous "Ramblas" is only four hundred metres away.

The area has a lot of students, student bars/cafes, variety of restaurants (vegetarian, Indian, Spanish, Catalan, local, expensive, .....)..
Lots of night time venues, like the famous La Paloma dance hall and night club, Salsitas,

the street layout is from the medievil (spelling '!) times, and the area was inside the city walls from 1300.

Lots of historic places close by, like the Hospital Sant Creu (six hundred years old) (same street), military shipyards (eight hundred years old)(Museu Maritim), church Sant Pau del Camp (the oldest church of the city, over one thousand years old)....
