Description of the Barcelona vacation apartment rental
Private studio apartment and balcony with a view of the Ramblas, furnished in antique Art Deco furniture,in a remodeled 1880s building with double glazed windows. The apt. is literally less than a minute walk to the Boqueria Market and the Liceo Opera House.
This 22 sq. m. studio is furnished with a double bed, matching dresser and two night tables with reading lamps, antique mirrored armoire, and table with two wicker chairs. The kitchenette has a breakfast bar with a stool and an electric stove top, refrigerator,dishes, wine glasses, kitchen utensils, etc. It is equipped with air conditioning, heating, color TV, CD player, clock radio, iron and all linens and towels. The bathroom is a separate room and has a marble counter top with original Art Nouveau tiles, shower, and hair dryer.
Privately owned by a long time resident of Barcelona (I am a writer and art curator). I am happy to provide you with information on the city, restaurant recommendations, interesting exhibitions, day trips, and local festivities. Beach towels and a complimentary local cell phone are available for guests on request.
2009 Rates, 3 night minimum: 75 euros/night (stays of 3-6 nights) 65 euros/night (stays of 7+ nights) Prices are for 1-2 persons. No hidden fees, payment due upon arrival.
An adjoining large two-bedroom, two bath apt.,with a full kitchen and very large dining room with a skylight, furnished in family antiques with an outdoor patio garden is available to rent by month only.
The Gothic Quarter/Raval area is the heart of Barcelona. The famous pedestrian area of the Ramblas starts at Plaza Catalunya and ends at the Mediterranean Sea, the apt. is located half way down it on a side street. Most major museums and tourist sites are within easy walking distance. Located around the corner from the Liceo Metro stop, this apt. could not be more centrally located - it is an easy 10 minute walk to Plaza Catalunya in one direction and the Mediterranean Sea in the other. Lovely Plaza Sant Agusti is right next door with year-round outdoor dining.

I provide a list of recommendations in English of local restaurants and nearby shopping information. I am happy to suggest cultural activities as a long time Barcelona resident. Small paperback library available for guests. Nice café with WiFi, full-service laundromat, and long distance calling office in the neighborhood.

*Deposits: Advance reservations required with a deposit
equal to one night's stay for visits under one week or three night's stay for longer visits.
* Cancellation: Full refund, less 40€ handling fee upon 30 days notice for 3-night rentals. Reservations for stays of 7 nights or longer require 60 days notice, less 195€ handling fee.
- Other Fees: If cancellation occurs within the 30 or 60 day cancellation period, whichever applies, the entire stay is non-refundable. While we welcome our guests to stay as long as they wish we simply cannot afford to block long periods without a 100% commitment to them. In the event of a cancellation, compared to an average 3 to 5 day reservation,
our exposure on a 7+ day reservation is much greater.

I booked this cute little apartment after a search for a romantic little hideaway for my partner and I to come to for his surprise birthday treat. I couldn't have chosen better! The room was completely central and we were able to go for midnight strolls, explore the city, party till 4.00am and dress up for cava and dinner with ease and return to our cosy room for a rest before our next adventure. The bathroom was perfect, pretty, warm and stylish, whilst the breakfast bar allowed us to have midnight feasts, coffee and snacks and full breakfasts at our own convenience. The bed was clean and fresh, storage space plentiful and the fridge opened with a gift of my first ever bottle of Cava given as a welcome by our lovely host. Flinging open the balcony windows every morning allowed me to look out at the city waking up and hear the chat and bustle that was barely audible when they were closed - very Romeo and Juliet. Wonderful memories.
