Description of the Barcelona vacation apartment rental
This 25 sq. m. studio is furnished with a double bed, matching dresser and two night tables with reading lamps, antique mirrored armoire, and table with two wicker chairs. The kitchenette has a breakfast bar with a stool and an electric stove top, refrigerator,dishes, wine glasses, kitchen utensils, etc. It is equipped with air conditioning, heating, CD player, clock radio, iron and all linens and towels. The bathroom is a separate room and has a marble counter top with original Art Nouveau tiles, shower, and hair dryer.
Privately owned by a long time resident of Barcelona . I am happy to provide you with information on the city, restaurant recommendations, interesting exhibitions, day trips, and local festivities. Beach towels and a complimentary local cell phone are available for guests on request.
2010 Rates, 3 night minimum: 75 euros/night, discounts for stays over two weeks. Prices are for 1-2 persons. No hidden fees, payment due upon arrival.
A large two-bedroom, two bath apartment with a full kitchen, a TV room, and a huge dining room with a skylight, all furnished in antiques is available to rent long term. Master bedroom has an outdoor patio garden.

The location is excellent. the apartment very pleasant, clean and nice looking. I missed having WiFi and the place is somewhat noisy because of the proximity to the Rambla and that you have to leave the terrace door open since it is the only link with the outside. would love to return and stay there again.

Quaint Apt. and Perfect Location

We loved this place . . . it is a very old and well maintained building so convenient to the subway and the main tourist area. The furniture is old (many antiques) and functional - beds were comfortable and we chose to sleep in separate beds as they were a bit small (I'm big). The apt. we were in (she has several) was quite long and narrow, very clean throughout - full of interesting books on art and many antique items for us, adding to the quaintness. The shower and water pressure is similar to a lot of places I've experienced in Europe and was not a big deal - we adjusted easily, but it is a different experience for a N. American. Air conditioners with remote controls throughout that worked quietly and cooled quickly. A washer and dryer were available in the apt. we had and our only problem was that neither of us could read the Spanish language settings (luckily we own a similar model and could guess at most). We found the owner very helpful and easy to deal with - a very nice person. Before we traveled there, I looked at the street on Google earth and so was able to spot the very narrow door that leads into the building - it is about 1/2 the width of a normal door and easy to miss - stairs up to the apt. are narrow, but this isn't too big a problem unless you have lots of bags and they're heavy. Overall we rate this place quite highly and would gladly stay again if we return to Barcelona. Just remember it is an apt., not a hotel.

Great location; feels like home

Location: very convenient - 1 min from La Boqueria, but far enough away where you're not disturbed by market setup noise. There are some street noise, but given that the intersecting street is Las Ramblas that is prettly unavoidable. The upside is you can people watch from the balcony with a glass of wine if you're not up to joining the crowd on the street. Apartment: Clean and functional. The building itself is very quiet. We never heard any noise from neighbors. You do have to go up 2 narrow flights of stairs so be warned. There is a dresser and a closet for clothes. Sufficient hot water and water pressure. There are some quirky stuff like weird pipe noise when you run the water, bathroom light doesn't always come on; you sometimes have to poke at the bulb to turn it on, the bathroom door sometimes sticks a little bit, but I guess that's all part of the experience and charm of staying in an apartment vs hotel. I know my house isn't perfect. What could be better? Bedding: pillows were flat, sheets and bed spread have seen much better days Lighting: there's a table lamp and 2 bedside lamps, but for us that didn't seem to provide enough lighting Shower: shower is small and the way it is setup, even with a handheld showerhead and shower curtains we still had to really make an effort to keep the water from getting out the shower Internet access: I knew there wouldn't be internet access in the apartment when we booked, but for future improvements, I hope the owner would consider adding internet because that would be so much more convenient. Owner: We didn't have a whole lot of interaction with the owner. There were some helpful information left in the room like restaurants nearby, etc. We had a late arrival and early department and didn't have any problems with checking in and returning the keys. Overall, this apartment provided good value and a pleasant stay.

Charming studio in the heart of Barcelona

The studio is really charming, very "Romeu and Juliet" indeed... The location is fantastic, in the heart of Barcelona, with a view of the Ramblas from the lovely balcony. More, we feel that the owners really care that we have a nice stay. They provide us usefull information guides of the city, beach towels, a CD player... It's the ideal place for a romantic journey, don't miss it!

A central location to La Raval, Gotica, and our friends in La Ribera, with easy access to the Metro's green line. Surprisingly quiet for being in such a bustling area. Convenient to a great internet and La Boqueria Market. The french doors that open to the street provided a terrific perch experience the city. It turned out to be a great pied-a-terre for our stay in Barcelona.

I booked this cute little apartment after a search for a romantic little hideaway for my partner and I to come to for his surprise birthday treat. I couldn't have chosen better! The room was completely central and we were able to go for midnight strolls, explore the city, party till 4.00am and dress up for cava and dinner with ease and return to our cosy room for a rest before our next adventure. The bathroom was perfect, pretty, warm and stylish, whilst the breakfast bar allowed us to have midnight feasts, coffee and snacks and full breakfasts at our own convenience. The bed was clean and fresh, storage space plentiful and the fridge opened with a gift of my first ever bottle of Cava given as a welcome by our lovely host. Flinging open the balcony windows every morning allowed me to look out at the city waking up and hear the chat and bustle that was barely audible when they were closed - very Romeo and Juliet. Wonderful memories.
