- OCEANFRONT WITH GREAT VIEWS..PEACEFUL..SINGLE HOUSE..
My family and I stayed in this home in mid-June 2014 and we all had a great time! The best parts of staying in an ocean front home, the views and easy beach access, this home has. Oftentimes, beach access is a bit of a hike even though the home is ocean front, but in this home, beach access is easy and begins nearly right outside the door. My favorite part was the deck and that's where I spent most of my time. It is very large, spacious and wraps around the house, so not only do you get a great view of the ocean, but you also get to enjoy the colors of sunset sky. The house is about 4 short blocks to the bay, where you can sit and enjoy the sunset or take a dip in the bay. The deck furniture was sturdy and comfortable, including lounge chairs with thick cushions. The home owners provide everything you need and more--from beach umbrellas and chairs, a beach caddy to a fully stocked kitchen--so you literally need only bring your clothing and food! There's an outside grill, yard, washing machine and dryer and two refrigerators. The owners also provided us with soaps, paper towels, Kleenex, dish washing machine soap...and nearly everything else you forgot to pack! The house is an Alpine, A-frame, home that has so many large windows that even when you're inside the home, you still have the amazing ocean view. Often, when everyone else was watching tv on the living room couches, I would avert my gaze to watch the sea. The Master bedroom and loft area have the best bird's eye ocean view. I've been visiting LBI for nearly 20 years, now, and this was my first time staying at the North end of the Island. The Northern end has less stores, shops, rentals, hotels and traffic; it's the quiet end where most homes are owned. I was curious to see how my family would entertain themselves, but no one had a complaint. We found small grocery shops nearby, enjoyed the local restaurants and entertained ourselves easily. The Northern end is now a new favorite of mine, the neighbors are very welcoming and adopted us into their community. This house is just 2 minutes from Vikings Village, an attraction spot. You will get the best, most fresh and delicious sea food there! Lastly, the beds were higher-end and very comfortable. I have back pain issues and was delighted in their quality. I was also thrilled to find that the couch was very comfortable, as were the two leather recliners.
