This property is everything it is advertised to be and then some. The owner is responsive, cooperative and conscientious. The property manager is the best I have encountered. Clean and spacious, perfect location, quiet and relaxing. Grandkids loved it as did us older folk. Thankyou Kevin (owner) and April (mgr). Definitely an A+ !

We had a great time here for a 3 day weekend as the leaves were changing color. The property manager April was wonderful in making sure that we were comfortable and gave us lots of hints about where to visit and eat etc. There was lots to do at the house too. We loved rowing out onto the lake in the canoe on site and didn't get time to use the outdoor fire pit but would have loved to with the marshmallow that we found in the fridge too. The only thing that would have saved us a little time and effort was if there were written instructions for several things like using the DVD, playstation with the TV, Working the flu within fireplace and maybe even the washing machine. Other than that, this home was super clean and charming and much prettier in person than even in the photos. We loved it!

For the past 15 years my daughters and myself have gone away together over the Columbus Day Weekend. We enjoyed this vacation the best. The home was beautiful and the scenery around the lake was fantastic. We would recommend this home to all our friends.

We stayed here over Thanksgiving Weekend and loved it. The weather was cold & rainy, so we couldn't enjoy as many outdoor activities as we would have liked but we were not for want as the house is fully equipped with all the modern amenities for rainy days. We brought our own DVDs but found that they had quite a good selection of classic movies. We also brought our own Playstation 3 which we were able to connect very easily as they have a Playstation 2 already connected. As far as the home is concerned it is a gem on beautiful lakefront property, clean and well kept. It was just two of us but the place is large enough for a group or large family. Although it was windy and cold outside, it was cozy and warm inside. The central heating worked fantastically and if that wasn't enought there was plenty of firewood to start a fire. April who helps manage the property was more than helpful as she found a great place for us to go and watch football on Sunday and was available for any other questions we had. I reccomend this property to anyone looking to get away for a short or a long term vacation. Pleanty to do in the area and even if you get stuck indoors you will be pleased!

we just returned from the rainiest vacation EVER but we still had a great time! the house was exactly as described and had plenty of room for 2 families with 5 and 8yo daughters to run around and not be in one anothers space.

the beachfront was very nice and allowed easy access for even a non-swimmer to get in the water. we brought our canoe and explored the lake which is quite large, but there is a paddleboat that you could use as well.

my daughter caught her first fish - a small sunnie - right off the dock - she was thrilled!

my only complaint would have to be that there is not much in the area do on a rainy day. we had to drive 30mins or more to find activities to do with the kids on a couple of the days but really its not much of a problem. if we had had good weather we would have been on the beach every day and at the playgrounds and the golf course. hopefully we will have 7 sunny days the next time we return!

all in all, our 2 families have gone on vacation together for the last 5 years and this home was the most fun for all of us and we highly recommend it to anyone with children!

I can't say enough good things about our experience. Everything was as stated and more. The house, the contacts, the lake, the nearby attractions were all excellent. My family and I enjoyed ourselves immensely. Our contact April was friendly and helpful. Kevin was excellent to work with. Basically I can't wait till next year to go back up for more snowmobiling, skiing, skating, shopping and fun.

I can't say enough about this beautiful, spacious, open concept house situated directly on the lake. Plenty of room for all to stay and play. A huge couch to snuggle up on in front of a beautiful upreaching brick fireplace while you gaze off through several sets of glass doors to view the lake. A great place during winter as the moon lights up the snow and makes for a perfect setting. I especially appreciated the child friendly atmosphere...having a one year old who likes to get into things, I loved the gates, high chair and outlet covers that were already in place upon arrival. As an avid cook, I found everything I needed to fire a gourmet dinner in the kitchen and on the provided grill. Easy access to the lake in winter allows you to snowmobile right out of the yard or icefish (just be sure to buy a license). I highly recommend this rustic get-away and look forward to my next stay.
