Our week vacation was awesome! The home was more than I expected. Fully applianced kitchen, although the microwave was broken-we made do. The bedrooms are very large , along with the two baths. Nice open floor plan in the kitchen and living areas that open up to a large deck overlooking the lake. Fishing was great! Nice size perch, and bass! My husband caught a bass that he estimated to be 5 lbs - he does a lot of fishing too! The sunsets were beautiful, the morning lake with "fog" covering it -so peaceful. You've got to check out JJ Goodwins too! Great place to eat - 5 minutes away on Rte 28. The water is nice, but murky-my youngest like to snorkel but couldn't see under water. We definitely want to go again next summer!

The house is exceptionally well situated with its own private beach. The living quarters and all of the appliances are in immaculate condition. The house is modern and spacious. Perfect for a family or friends. We can't wait to stay again next year.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The owner was very accommodating and the next door neighbor was a fountain of information. My son brought his canoe and we enjoyed the lake and the fire pit in the evening was fabulous. One of the kids caught a nice size bass. I live in Florida and it was a wonderful place for me to entertain my children and grandchildren who live in NH. A wonderful all around experience.

We had a very quiet and relaxing time on the lake. The place is very spacious and you can definetely get away from each other if that is important. We were 8 so it definetely was nice to get away some times. Every bedroom is on a different floor. We enjoyed times around the fire pit and we took excursions each night. Everything is about 20 minutes away. We explored Winnepasake (sp?) one day, the movies another night, the outlets another night, and down aways on 28 there was a great ice cream place with serving sizes huge and inexpensive compared to CT. Get the small. The medium was too large for a growing teenage boy. He couldn't finish it. The country store which is the closest place had everything you can possibly run out of. We went to the larger grocery store one rainy day to replenish before we even checked out the little store. The neighbors across the street were so sweet and helpful. Giving us lots of advice and helping us with the charcoal grill. The owner is nice and reachable at all times too. If you want lots of action and not peace and quiet this is not the place to go. Maybe directly on Winnepasake would be better for you. My daughter wanted secluded. Well she got it.
