Private Retreat with the Pets too!

The owner was wonderful to work with on short notice! We had a wonderful time, our two golden retrievers thought they were great game hunters. The house was clean and well equipped, and would have been perfect had the upstairs beds been more comfortable. New king bed downstairs was comfortable, but the plastic sheeting is noisy. We would definitely come back again.

The elusive green rock trail

The house was comfortable, the area was quiet & private. The weather got very warm & & we got ready to head to the beach on the river. This was not to be. We found the sign that at one time said green rock & began to search for a trail to the beach, which we could see in the distance. Our family has been hiking in the White Mountains for over 30 years. Tthere was no way to get to the beach. This was disappointing as it was the reason we rented this property
Owner's reply:
Sorry to hear the foot path was washed out this season. The neighborhood association is raising money to have the repairs done. Let's hope 2013 our beach returns!!

Just Right for a Winter Getaway

Rates match the value of the property. Easy access to Attitash (and anywhere north of North Conway - getting back into N. Conway can be a bear during peak season). Cozy home - liked that we could close off the upstairs to retain heat from the pellet stove downstairs (didn't need upstairs BRs). Could use some minor cosmetic touchups, to make the experience even better, but we had a great time and experience nonetheless.

This was a perfect spot in terms of beauty and convenience. We were close to all the attractions for the grandkids and yet nestled in our own private 'forest of trees'. The house was exactly as depicted on the website and with only 5 people we had plenty of extra room.

We enjoyed our family time spent at this cottage. Coming from Canada we were expecting a beach as indicated but were surprised to find a little area with a lot of rocks. Couldn't get into Attatish to use the pool or hottub, they keep it locked so if you aren't staying there you are out of luck. Was disappointing to say the least. Found our own spot to swim back behind the State Liquor Store. Was really hot and stuffy. Diana's Bath which we didn't find until our last day there is a great spot. Twenty minutes away from the Shopping Outlets was great for us shoppers and when the men had enough they could take the kids to the swimming spot up the road. Did our laundry at a camp site nearby. Great location just wish we would have been able to use the pool to cool off without having to drive 25 minutes.

The house was great and the owners are very accommodating. This was the easiest rental I have used for my annual WolfGirl hiking event. It was exactly what we were looking for: comfortable, clean, private, onsite hiking, quaintly decorated. I had a ton of fun watching my expert fetcher lose stick after stick in the river because she didn't understand that they float away when you put them down. Ping pong was fun too! I suggest this rental to anyone who has active children or dogs. I have 3 border collies and although they are VERY well behaved, I have found myself in homes that are too frilly or decorated in all white. This is a durable and pretty home that parents can truly relax in!

Cozy with Peaceful Setting

My partner and I had a great time on our vacation and the cabin/chalet certainly added to the experience. It is in a quiet, wooded neighborhood and you can barely see the neighbors through the trees. Our dogs enjoyed the walk to the river and watching chipmunks from the deck. It's in a perfect location with tons of places to eat right nearby. About a 10-15 min. drive to the outlets. We ended up needing trashbags so make sure you get a list of extras to bring with you. Denise was super sweet to work with!

What a quaint home. Area where house is located is so peaceful. Nice large kitchen table. Pellet stove kept us very toasty. People at Cranmore and North Conway are very nice. Plenty to do any time of year. Will hope to return. Owners are flexible if you can not stay the entire week.

We came up the first week of August 2009 with me, my husband, our 6 mo old twins, my sister, her husband, their two kids, my 2 neices, and my other sister and her boyfriend. We had a BLAST!!!! The house was the perfect size for our large crew. The house was meticulous and fully stocked with the essentials. The owners were very sweet and accomodating... we even got a phone call when we left to see if the kids left behind a pair of shoes. The kids had the best time on the private beach, the rafting was a blast.... but the current is strong, so I had a few bruises:) The neighbors were quiet and pleasant. Only down side was that we didn't stay longer, and the 5 hour drive to get there!!!! Thanks so much for the wonderful memories.... PS the dog had a blast too!!!

My friends and I have rented a cabin in the Conway area for 3 years now and I would have to say this is one of the most cozy places we have stayed. The house was very comfortable and we were able to find a great hill for sledding right down the street. Rob and Denise were a pleasure to work with and we are working on planning a second visit to this house. The near by hiking trail is terrific! Very steep at times, but my 6 year old made it to the top of her first mountain! Great views from up there. We took advantage of the rafts kept in the basement and had great fun on the river. Very close to all the attractions. A ping pong table for rainy days. Plenty of sleeping space. Really a great vacation.

We arrived the house in a late raining night. Thanks to the clear direction from the owner, we had no trouble to find the place in the quiet dark night. And the place is better than we had expected. There are TVs in both the living room and the master bedroom. the Sofa are very comfortable. everything is as what is stated as the landlord told us. The scene outside the house is beautiful. it's a very nice place for people to go and get rest by experiencing the senerity of the nature. the reason I give only 4 star not 5, is that, I found there wass no paper tower and bathroom paper inside the house, no bathroom soup, after the thorough search. I think the landlord shall at least let the guest know this ahead of time. And also the place can be made a bit cleaner. But overall speaking, we were very happy in our stay. I would recommend it.

We were very pleased overall with our stay here. The master bed was soooo comfortable! It was actually really hot during our stay so we didn't get to use the pellet stove (oh, darn!), but maybe we can come back during ski season. This is so convenient for Storyland and the many other attractions the white mountains have to offer. Thanks!!!

Hi Denise, We all had a great time and yes the weather was perfect!! We did alot of outdoorsy things: went into Jackson (farmers market, Jackson Falls), also went to Glen Ellis Falls, we took the auto road up Mount Washington (fantastic views!), stopped at Wild Cat mountain where the kids rode the Zip Line ( they loved that!), walked a few times down to the Saco River and beach area. Before we left we stopped in North Conway to shop at Aeropostals (for both my daughters :o), and Lids where Brendan bought a couple of Red Sox ball caps. Your place was a nice place to stay - thanks for allowing us to stay there and we would like to go back again in the future. The kids now want a ping pong table, that was their favorite part of the house - many matches were played downstairs! Maybe we will get them one for Christmas - again thanks so much and its been a pleasure working with you and arranging our trip :o) Karen

We had the best time at your place! I can't say enough great things about it. It is in a great location. Nice quiet neighborhood. We were so comfortable. With 4 adults and 4 kids, we had plenty of room throughout. Plenty of hot water for showers. It is nicely decorated too. We really treated it as if it were our own. We cooked every night, played games and cards, watched movies, played pingpong.
We loved the master bedroom. The tv/sitting area was a great bonus! The king size bed was perfect for my husband and I and our 2 toddlers. That was the first time the 4 our us got to sleep together :-)
We spent a nice relaxing day down at the private beach. (What a great view!) And we also had a fantastic time at Storyland.
We hope you keep renting! We'd love to stay at your place again next year!

We had a great weekend. The house was in the perfect location and we even saw a black bear in the driveway. Very exciting!!
The house was nice. Good size, loved the wrap around porch. Thank you for opening up your house to us. Our girls now find New Hampshire one of their favorite places to visit.

WOW!!!!! When can we have it again? We had such a great time. The house is great, so cozy. We just relaxed, cooked out, played games, it was just what we needed. We definatley want to go up again, maybe at the end of September. I also told my parents about it, they were interested in possibley renting the house for Thanksgiving, if it was open. There would be only 6 of us and a baby. Do the rates go up toward ski season? Oh, what a great town to just drive around and explore. We found a great spot down some road and just hung out in the river. Well, thanks so much for letting us use your place, let me know about future openings and rates.
