Vacation rental on Mount Desert Island near Acadia National Park. Twenty minutes from Bar Harbor . Rental overlooks Bass Harbor. Located in the village (on the quiet side of the island). For great Maine Vacations come to the Maine Coast . from Saturday to Saturday , 600 in June, $700 a week in July, and $800 a week in Aug.

Rental is a two bedroom one bath. The bottom floor of large farm house overlooking the harbor. Lawn overlooks the working harbor. Bedrooms are large with 1 king sized bed, one double bed and one futon. Has a full kitchen with all cooking utensils, coffee pot, and microwave.

Utilities included, plus cable and VCR, dish washer, washer & dryer, all the pots and pans and silverware, icemaker, outside patio, gas grill, and awning. This apartment is very clean and nice.

Short walk to the shore to three well known seafood restaurants, fishing off the dock, and a lobster pound with live or fresh cooked lobster.

Hiking
Acadia has the best day hiking in the Eastern U.S. Walking the miles of trails is one of the best ways to experience the park. These trails are stunning, high ocean views, accessible tree lines, steep precipices, stone bridges.

Kayaking
Sea kayaking tours and boat rental services are offered from numerous establishments in Bar Harbor and allow access to Mount Desert Island and other destinations. Ocean Kayaking to the the various islands.

Bicycling
There is an extensive network of carriage roads throughout Acadia National Park, which are closed to automobiles and are excellent places to ride your bicycle.
