We were wondering prior of booking, why this beautiful house didn't have any reviews? Today we wonder no more! We were 2 families (3 kids ages 5-8) that spent 8 nights, we prepaid for, back in March, including cleaning fees! We spent a wonderfull week in this place! House has all amenities, maybe too many...lots of indian artifacts throughout the house, art objects, appliances. All perfect, until we left and had been unrightfully accused of a missing basket with indian artifacts, "quite valuable", yet kept in the garage? We couldn't stop but wonder, why wasn't it kept in one of the many locked closets instead, where owner kept personal items, but been left in the garage? Owner was fully aware that 3 kids were coming and their ages! Owner offered to come and greet us, before our stay. She didn't show up, however she came to take pictures, together with the cleaning crew, at our departure! Was nice meeting her at last! We had been accused of trivial damages (broken glass of a $5 value (true claim), an outlet cover of $0.99, and of other more substantial damages, such as one burner of the stove (out of 6, we didn't even used them all) not working and needing a repairman?, refrigerator ice maker not working when we got there, my husband tried to fix it, little things that we could have reported them, however being on vacation, we didn't think any of them or to take pictures prior of using them. That is NOT why we went there! We've been in many places in US and Canada, we take 1-2 vacations/year like this. We never had complaints of leaving a house in dirty condition, using too many towels (why towels weren't locked in the closets, leaving out just as many as the owner considered normal usage?) We paid a cleaning fee, not to clean ourselves! We were on vacation to enjoy, not to count the artifacts, towels we used, take pictures of house's items, make a report of what's working or not! However we should have: closets were being locked, cabinets and refrigerator full of owner/previous tenants' left overs...we had to work around them and keep our clothes inside our luggages for 9 days! However, our stay was great, despite these small issues...with a very bad aftertaste! If you have other choices and there are plenty in the area, with less head ache, avoid this place and go elsewhere! (Owner charged us, unauthorized, the entire security dep. for 2 broken ordinary items and extra cleaning :( Be preapred to pay for any item/issue owner might need replaced or fixed!

Log Home was beautiful, perfect for multiple families to share. Three stories each section with independent heat/ ac. The kitchen is great, lots of room, large gas stove top and large oven. Beautiful deck overlooking wooded area and BBQ & smoker on deck. Downstairs has separate bedroom, sitting area with small fridge & microwave. This room also has private entry door. The backyard has a full size tipi which is totally awesome!! It has two air beds decked out with Indian style blankets & furs, plus there is electricity to tipi and lamps for light after dark. There is also a tent set up very similar. The home is beautifully decorated but yet still comfortable. The owners made renting our first private home an absolute joy!! We would not hesitate to rent this home again! The home is about 1 block from marina on Bass Lake, and about 1 hour or so from Yosemite Valley.
