Description of the Bath vacation home rental

Rock Haven Cottages are located on coastal waters in a very private setting. Every year, large striped bass are caught by fishermen standing right on our very own dock. Coastal waters require no fishing license, so bring your fishing poles. The open ocean is about fifteen minutes from the dock. In the back yard there is a wildlife sanctuary and fantastic hiking trails. Camp roads are also open for biking trips.

There are two cottages available for rental, with many attractions nearby. One cottage has just been built and the other has been completely renovated.

Area Description

Several beaches nearby. Shopping in nearby Brunswick and Freeport. Restaurants and museums in nearby Bath.

Great location, July 8, 2008

Our "cottage" easily accommodated 7 people (2.5 baths) with ample parking. The cottage was very very nice with beautiful waterfront views. It came with all the linens/towels needed and was fully applianced with washer/dryer and AC. Location was perfect and only minutes away from Brunswick, perfect base for your daily excursions. Owners were very accommodating. There are 2 cottages located next to each other and would be a great spot if you had several families that wanted to rent both cottages for a great get away. Cottages are located right on the new meadows river with a very nice dock. I would highly recommend these accommodations and plan on staying here on our next family get away. Only thing I would mention is that there is a step bank down by the water that could pose a hazard if you have very young children (say under 5). You won't be disappointed.

There were 7 of us that stayed in the larger, newer cabin. Kitchen is very well stocked. Clean. Plenty of linens, towels and hot water. It is remote but only about 10 minutes from the grocery. Quick,easy access to Route 1. View is beautiful. Owners very easy to work with. Have been coming to Maine for years and fishing the New Meadows. Highly recommend these cabins. Again only 10 minutes from the New Meadows public boat ramp. Wildlife abundant. Quiet. Will stay again!

From Ohio to Maine for first time. Stayed in this cottage which was everything we needed. Clean, spacious, quiet, and peaceful. Enjoyed the different levels to the house which allowed each of us to maintain privacy while enjoying the living/dining space. Kitchen was well equipped. Owners very easy to work with and accomodating. Location seemed a little remote at first but fairly convenient to the small towns. Our only disappointment was not catching a fish from the dock! Loved Maine - will return!
