Description of the Belfair vacation cabin rental

Have your family reunion at this great beach house on Case Inlet of Puget Sound with 600 feet of waterfront. Go clam and oyster digging and roast them over a beach fire. Have about 3 acres to yourselves with some RV parking and camping on the extra lot. House is about 2000 square feet with 3 bedrooms. Main floor bedrooms both have queen size beds, pull out couch with queen size sleeper. Upstairs bedroom is great for kids, with bunk bed and full size bed. Large deck overlooking the water with barbecue grill. Lots of space and privacy in this setting. We have small boat with oars out there for your use. This is our "cabin", everything in it are things we no longer needed/wanted in our house. With the exception of the beds downstairs those were bought new. It is NOT at all upscale, just a place to hang out on weekends and relax with friends and family. There is a minimum 2 night stay.
ALL WASHINGTON STATE FISH AND GAME RULES APPLY WHEN RENTING THIS UNIT. THERE IS A CLAM LIMIT AND YOU MUST HAVE A LICENSE.

Area Information

Across the bay from the town of Allyn, Belfair is a ten minute drive. House is actually in the town of Victor.
Bring your boat and launch it at the Allyn dock and head out into the sound for fishing or take the kids waterskiiing and tubing.

Good times

My extended family enjoyed a week at the cabin last August. Our stay was was practically perfect for everyone, with so many activities available without ever driving off the property. Parents of young children were able to relax with others while children napped or played in the water and everyone logged lots of sailing time right off the beach in pleasant steady winds.The house is great for large groups Thank you Carri for allowing us to use it. i would recomend it to all and we will rent again. Family Reunion Hideaway

This rather private nearby location fit our weekend long family reunion needs perfectly. With a need for accommodating as many as 50+ family members from all across the country this fully contained beachfront property worked out well. The inclusive adjacent lot easily allowed for families choosing to campout. The large fire ring made for several fun evenings of weiner roasting, smores and shared stories of yesteryear. The easy access to roaming the beach for clams and oysters proved to be a real bonus! As did the outdoor shower and direct access to a bathroom. The gated driveways are a major plus for anyone with children since the cabin does sit on a rather busy highway with a nearby blind corner. One thing I would like to have had some forewarning on was the sulfur smelling well water which we were told was normal for the area and offered no health threats. We did notice that it improved with increased usage but chose to keep several gallons of drinking water on hand at all times. All in all this location worked well for our informal family gathering.

House In Need of Cleaning!!

We had 7 people in our group. Very disappointed with the poor conditions of the house. The house was very dirty, lots of big stains on the carpet, house had not been vacuumed or swept, bottles of used shampoo and soap were left in the showers. There was not enough toilet paper and many of the linens and blankets were in ratty and old. The deck also has many loose boards that could be hazardous. The positive side was the reservation process was a breeze and Jim the neighbor was very pleasant to deal with. And we very much enjoyed digging for clams and sitting on the hammock. If the house was clean and the linens were replaced with new ones, it would have been a much nicer stay. As it was, the conditions made it feel like we were camping.

Great place, great time!

We really enjoyed our week at the cabin. We had a bunch of teenagers with us and they all had a blast. I really like the fact that the house is not all fancy and so I didn't have to be constantly stressed about the kids bringing in sand and wet towels and stuff. It was also great for our labrador who loved swimming on the beach. We easily got our limit of clams (make sure you have a license!) and also found oysters. Belfair is close and so easy to get to the store if I ran out of anything. The cabin is located on a forested strip of beachfront. Very secluded. You can swim, the water is actually quite warm for the sound since the inlet is rather shallow. The kitchen is adequate and I managed to cook for my tribe of 12 (mostly teenagers) just fine. We brought our own staples and condiments since I wasn't sure what would be on hand. The beds in the bedrooms were very nice and comfortable. 2 bathrooms and showers-one with outdoor access, is great for large families. The outdoor hose and shower are perfect to be able to wash off the dirt and the dog and the clams. The view is fabulous. Jim and Pam (the neighbors and caretakers) are so nice and we really enjoyed them too and feel like we made new friends! So, if you are looking for pristine luxurious accommodations, then this might not be for you. But if you are looking for a wonderful, down-to-earth type of property that you can feel at home in, then this is it. We didn't even realize that there was the extra lot for camping and RV's until right before we left. It would be a great place for a family reunion.

Love the cabin, it's really nice. Love the onsite beach with oysters and clams access. The kids loved staying there and going down to the beach. The deck is huge and everything was already there for us to use such as the grill! The neighbors, Jim and Pam are great. They're really helpful and super friendly. Thank you Carri for letting us stay at the cabin. We will definitely rent again. I'm getting request for an annual trip now!! Thanks again!
