Our 2 Bedroom, 2 ½ Bath Condo is just steps away from the Purple Chair Lift, the Lodge & Course.

Area:: Torch Lake and Lake Bellaire provide easy access to water sports in a 'Caribbean-like' setting. Boat rentals are available at local marinas; multiple DNR launches provide convenient access to Michigan's best Waterways. Many Walleye, Whitefish and Trout stories have boasted that the fishing can be 'excellent' in both the nearby cold-water lakes and streams. The Dockside Bar & Grill, at Clam River & Torch Lake, has a wonderful setting to observe people and their diverse watercrafts passing by the outdoor patio. They have an extensive menu for both food and drink.
Brief History of Shanty Creek---- When Roy Deskin thought about the high, tree-green hills and curving valleys surrounding Bellaire in Michigan's Antrim County, he envisioned a challenging ski and golf resort, satisfying to all visitors. New Ownership in 1997 allowed Shanty Creek to embark on the Cedar River Village which included the expansion of downhill runs to 49 and adding the Cedar River G.C. by Weiskopf.

Shanty Creek is about 6 miles west of Mancelona, MI and about 50 miles east of Traverse City. It is in the 'heart' of some great glacial finger lakes that include Torch, Elk and Bellaire. Their beauty is astonishing and their turquoise color rivals that of Cancun, Mexico. Cedar River is the newest Village at Shanty Creek. It is located on North Face of Schuss Mountain and includes the Tom Weiskopf Cedar River Course.
Our Condo #502 Golfside is on the 18th Hole of Cedar River. The views are documented in the photos above. The location is IDEAL for both golfing and skiing - it Can't be Beat! Why not Vacation More, Vacation Better!
Directions to Cedar River #502 are: M88 West to Del Mason Rd. (Main Entrance to Shanty Creek), following signs to Cedar River Lodge. Pass Lodge, go under the bridge and proceed left to Golfside Condominiums. Our unit is #502 which is the 4th Garage Door in the first building. The entrance to our unit is directly to the right of the garage.
