Home away from home

We were in transition between the sale of our old home and the purchase of a new one and spent six weeks in the "Treehouse". It was a wonderful experience ; feeding the squirrels, watching a huge flock of Great Blue Herons every morning at low tide, seeing an owl perched on the fence below and generally enjoying life in the forest. The house is well appointed and one need bring nothing apart from food. There is a garden with a variety of veggies and which are available to renters and we enjoyed swiss chard, leeks and rhubarb and there was a very promising strawberry patch; alas, too early in the season for us. Would definitely stay again.

Cozy and comfortable

I truly enjoyed my getaway! The home was warm, the steam shower was AMAZING, and I was able to eat all of my meals in, with the help of a brief stop at Trader Joe's in Bellingham. I saw bald eagles, herons, and even a seal. In both rain and sun, this was the perfect spot for time all by myself.

We had a truly memorable experience at the Treehouse! It was wonderfully private, very well appointed and furnished, comfortable and trule value for money. We stayed 4 nights and would have stayed longer had it been available. Don Weber called us on the day we were to arrive and left instructions and we found it with no problem, let ourselves in and sat on the balcony and enjoyed the sunset with a glass of wine. We were stocked with groceries from Trader Joes (this is mandatory!) but there are some good restaurants in Bellingham as well. We especially enjoyed the steam room and the heated floors. The sheets are very fine hotel quality as well, the wi fi works...(this isn't always the case where its promised!) We are delighted that we found the Treehouse, and will be going back when we can. Book well in advance!!

Memorial Weekend

Quiet and very cozy. We had a campfire every evening and had the most beautiful sunsets. The grandkids scoured the beach for fire wood and sea shells. We roasted marshmallows and sang songs around the campfire. They grandkids rated it as one their best vacations. The owners kept to themselves but were very friendly and made us feel at home. It was like camping but without all the prep work and we didn't have to worry about the rain. Who knew just two hours away from home we would have such a fantastic mini vacation.

What an amazing find! The Treehouse is absolutely beautiful down to every detail. Sitting by the fire watching Bald Eagles and Herons kept us from venturing off the property to go into Bellingham much - and that was fine with us. The views, stonework, shower, and deck are all above average when judged against all the other homes we have stayed in over the years. The view of Lummi Bay is more impeded by the main house than the photos show. The kitchen is lovely and pretty well-appointed, if you are going to do some serious cooking you may want to bring your own knives. We were already planning our next trip to the Treehouse halfway into our stay.

My husband and I were very impressed with the Treehouse, and had a really comfortable couple of days there. The finishes are top notch and it was a nice, quiet and relaxing stay. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to friends and family.

I very much enjoyed my stay at this property. The small space has been optimized for convenience and ease of use, it's well organized, charming and beautifully appointed. Between easy access to the beach, Bellingham and Lummi Island, and the comfortable bed, fantastic steam shower and heated floors, I felt pampered! I absolutely loved my stay here, and I hope to return again!

My wife and I are long term rentals of the tree house. It's exceptional. The steam shower is to die for. The views are awesome, even on a cloudy day. Access to the city of Ferndale is easy, and Bellingham as well. It's quiet and peaceful out here, and it's really lovely to wake up draw back the curtains to the windows and see a beautiful bay of water at your feet. All amenities are top class. The owners spared no expense in making this space feel very comfortable, as well as well crafted to the smallest detail. My wife and I love it.

We loved our little get-away during Thanksgiving holiday! The tree house is cozy and everything is really well appointed. The steam shower was top quality. You'd think you are at a 5 star hotel! We would love to go back!

Breathtaking views of the water and mountain range from every window in the place. Well thought out spacial design and all the ammenities you need. Cozy, inviting, very clean. They provide a free bottle of wine and free wine tasting at winery 3 doors down. Owners live in main house in front, but Treehouse still feels very private. The owners keep to themselves but are very helpful if you need tips on what to do and where to go. The multi-jet steam shower was a treat to provide that relaxing, spa-like feel in a private location. Place is just minutes from downtown Bellingham where there are great places to eat, terrific coffee shops and small town retail, near Lummi Island ferry with tons of hiking and biking options and very close to Cananda and Mt. Baker.

We stayed 2 nights at the tree house and had a great time. We were travelling with our 1-yr old and it was great to have all the space for him to walk around. We walked down to the beach every morning/evening and watched the sunrise/sunset - it was phenomenal. Very nice setting, highly recommended.

This was such a relaxing and enjoyable place to stay while preparing for our youngest son's wedding in Bellingham. It was special to watch the sunsets, walk on the beach, even listen to the gentle rain at night, and just enjoy our amazingly private space which was very well appointed. Our hosts were very courteous, pleasant, and available if needed.

We enjoyed our stay at the Treehouse. We traveled each day to see the state, but came back each evening to enjoy the view, the quiet and we were never disturbed, except by nature which was awesome.

My wife and I stayed at the "Treehouse" for four nights and had a marvellous time. The views of the ocean are incredible and the bald eagles and blue herons are everywhere. The host was gracious and pleasantly unobtrusive. The "Treehouse" itself is very well appointed with all the mod cons and the steam shower is a special treat. I would highly recommend this property for a great peaceful getaway.
