Description of the Bellingham vacation home rental

Near Bellingham, Washington, this well-maintained home on 80 ft. of unique low-bank waterfront on Lake Samish is available for rent. Located between Bellingham and Mount Vernon, WA, on a dead-end street, with easy access to I-5, is a one-of-a-kind waterfront home not to be missed. It is one hour south of Vancouver, Canada.
The property has its own private dock and boathouse. Amenities include a 225 sq.ft. over-the-water guest house (sleeps 2). There is a 2-car attached garage. The large outside decks create a great place for summer entertaining. The hot tub is great for relaxing in summer or winter.
The 1700-sq.-ft. home includes one very large bedroom which overlooks Lake Samish along with a second bedroom with bunk beds and a Queen. There are two full beautifully tiled bathrooms, one of which was just renovated. One of the two walk-in closets is in the bedroom and the other is adjacent to one of the bathrooms. The laundry room and pantry is off the kitchen, and the living room/dining room combination has a fireplace and shares a beautiful view of Lake Samish and the pristine hillside. In addition, the living room has 2 sofa beds that sleep 4.

Area Information

Lake Samish is one of the best waterskiing and wakeboarding lakes in the Pacific Northwest with sheltered water for day long fun. There are numerous hiking trails nearby and Bellingham is 10 minutes away. A casino is 15 minutes south and great shopping is nearby.

Nice Getaway

We really enjoyed the location and the ease of the way the house was set up so that all rooms look out to the beautiful Lake Sammish. The owner was easy to work with and when we arrived and had any questions we only had to text him and received an immediate response back. We would definitely book with Vacation Home Rentals again. It was a nice relaxing weekend before we had to say goodbye to our daughter who would be attending WWU. Thank you.

Thanksgiving with the Grandchildren

Had a wonderful time in the Lake Samish House. I thought it would be too chilly for the hot tub. NOT! It was wonderful. The boat house was very comfortable and the main house had all the comforts of home. The telephone didn't work; but, my son used the wireless connection and via his laptop looked up the make of the telephone and discovered it was not plugged in correctly. We had free calls to talk to relatives for the Thanksgiving Holiday. We walked the Lake Samish and Padden Parks' footpaths. Very beautiful and picturesque. We watched Bald Eagles hunt for fish on Lake Samish. The rainy weather cooperated wonderfully and we had some very pleasant walks with our grandchildren and our pom, Penny. Just down the Roy Road was a Luthern Church Summer Camp. A neighbor lady suggested we go check on the salmon spawning at Mud Creek. (It was ok with the church.) We met two gentlemen volunteers wearing waders who were preparing to count the spawning fish. One a graduate of University of Montana - so we "Grizzs" compared college notes. On the way back we saw a Golden Eagle sitting in a tree. Seeing the spawning fish and eagles was just another great experience for our family. I would highly recommend this vacation property.

Very Nice - Beautiful Property

This house was very comfortable and cozy. Furnishings are nice, but not over the top. For a pieceful stay and beautiful view every day - this is the spot. This would be a great place for a family or couples retreat. Be sure and pick up groceries & supplies before you get to the house as stores are not very close.
