Awesome waterfront home on Lummi Bay

This is one relaxing Home on the water. The hosts Don and family were very flexible as to our stay and extension for an extra week. We were allowed our Husky to stay with us and were so charmed by the proprerty that i made a standing offer to buy the house when he is ready to sell. We have family in BHam and love the area. Most enjoyable stay and that is from someone is not pleased easily. Three thumbs up Don Thankyou again. M. Doubleday and family, also Krypton the Husky, three paws up.

Lummi Bay Thanksgiving

November 28, 2012

Montana based grandparents braved Snoqualmie Pass and the record flooding rains to stay in the beautiful lodge at Lummi Bay. Our son, his wife, and three grandsons and cousin Gwen also stayed with us in the Lodge. We cooked Thanksgiving Dinner with all the trimmings, walked down the stairs to the beach, and skipped probably a ton of rocks into the ocean. The three-year-old grandson always had to be carried up the beach stairs bawling because he never wanted to leave even after an hour of beach combing and rock tossing. We watched the eagles hunting over the beach, huge ships passing, and the rainy weather cleared so we could see the stars at night. Many card and board games were played throughout the week. When Gpa needed a "news fix" he had a choice of three tv's. Most of our party tried the jacuzzi tub; Gpa and Gma spent the last two days alone in the Lodge and tried the jacuzzi tub too! All had a memorable vacation. Thanks for all those good memories.

Great vacation rental!!

Our recent vacation was very relaxing. Beatiful gardens,relaxing pond and water feature,fantastic view and access to the bay. The house was great for the money,very reasonable. The bedrooms are all nice,three baths,two showers and a whirlpool tub. The kitchen has everything we needed and lots of extras. The entire family enjoyed the living area and dining with an outstanding view of the bay.We will definately stay here again.

Great for Families - great location & awesome home

The home is beautiful, location is private and the views are breath-taking from low tide to sunset. This property has direct beach access, well-manicured landscaping in front and back of property. The home and property are neat, clean and very well maintained. The floor plan is open, spacious and great for family gatherings. We loved everything about this home. Our children were out at low tide discovering the wonders of tide pools and at high tide the whole family took out the kayaks. We will definitely return and recommend this property to anyone. Our son summed it up best "this is the best home and vacation ever!" Thanks Don & Kathy, we loved your home.

Quiet weekend in wonderful surroundings

I spend the weekend with friends here to escape the snowiest winter on record in Anchorage. We mainly just chilled but really enjoyed a warm fire, preparing large meals, and taking walks during low tide. The lodge is very comfortable and included every thing we expected. Don was friendly and helpful. An excellent choice!

This house on the Bay is beautiful. We saw a bald eagle every morning. It's easy to get to and the house looks just like the pictures. Don made it easy for us to stay at. We just loved it.

Great house, beautiful location

A very well designed house, nicely decorated and very spacious. Since our arrival we felt right at home, it surely doesn't feel like a rental property. Everything it's in great condition, very well maintained. We had a great time there, and the whole family is looking forward to the next summer holidays!

Unreal location

Honestly the best family vacation we've had. The location was unreal! Our two little boys loved it! When the tide would go out in the morning we would go look for crabs, starfish, sea shells, clams, etc. We found all of them. The house was very spacious, very clean and very nicely decorated. The front of the house is a beautiful garden with rock pathways, ponds, amazing flowers and huge trees. We were in awe when we arrived, the place exceeded our expectations. We would recommend this place to everyone.

Arriving through a quiet cedar drive into beautiful gardens, looking up toward the front door, we saw through to Lummi Bay, outside the opposite wall of windows. The home worked perfectly; from kitchen to ambiance, the home was secluded, inviting, and comfortable, the home swept my family of 6; from grandparents, adult children, to grandchildren...all off our feet, all wanting to stay the summer! Well kept, accommodating, peaceful, and well, just, a beautiful place. I've bookmarked this one for some next family rendezvous...

Hi Don and Kathy: This is just a follow up to our week long stay at your place on Haxton Road (The Lodge). What a gorgeous setting. To wake up and see that ocean view each day was fantastic. It changed constantly (currents, tides, weather conditions, etc) and we had a couple spectacular sunsets. We found the home very comfortable and appealing, with all the interesting decor features and wall colors. Spacious too. I had a bath in that wonderful huge tub. We have done a fair bit of world traveling ourselves and our home is an eclectic collection of artistic finds too. This was an excellent place to have our little family reunion. We will bookmark this rental and I have also bookmarked the Treehouse.
