Charming 3 bedroom house in North Berkeley available for sublet June 13, 2009 to July 10, 2009. (Possible extension of end date to July 18.)
We are located in North Berkeley, California, very near San Francisco. Here are the details:
• 2 bed rooms (one with king bed, one with twin bed)
• 3rd bedroom upstairs doubles as kid’s multi-purpose room with full size futon couch-bed
• 1 full bath room
• 1 half bathroom (toilet and sink only)
• Large open combined living and dining room
• Excellent open kitchen with family breakfast room opening onto outside garden deck
• Kitchen has dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, gas stove and oven, large refrigerator, many good pots, pans, electric cooking devices and other cooking utensils
• Large back yard garden
• Upright piano
• 2 televisions with cable TV and Tivo
• 2 VCR video players
• DVD player
• Stereo
Our house is in a lovely residential area and we are one block to Solano Ave, a great small-scale commercial street with coffee shops, excellent restaurants with cuisine from many different countries, book stores, a movie theater, and many other varied shops and services. We are walking distance to parks and pathways through the Berkeley Hills, and a short drive to Tilden Park, a large area for hiking, picnics and other out-door activities.
We are about 30 minutes drive (or 40 minutes BART train or bus ride) to San Francisco across the Bay Bridge, or it is possible to also drive in 40 minutes to the beautiful California coast area where there are many cute towns, great beaches, and wonderful nature and hiking.
The house has a lot of personal character with art throughout and is very warm and pleasant to be in. It is large and open – about 2000 square feet. See photos below. Additional photos available by email.
