Description of the Bethel vacation home rental
Relax and entertain in style at our turn of the century farmhouse, sitting on 22 unspoiled wooded acres, just 88 miles from New York City. The Villa Foresta, built in 1894, was lovingly renovated in 2009 by its Brooklyn based architect and owner, preserving all of its period charm and adding high end modern convenience.
This 2500 square foot home sits atop a hill, surrounded by large old growth maples. The barn and woodshed next to the house serve as a stunning backdrop to your time in the country. There are 4 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, a formal dining room, living room, and chef’s kitchen. The king sized bed, two queen sized beds, and twin bed accommodate 7 people easily, and overflow can stay on the pull out couch or air mattresses. The house has beautifully appointed common areas perfect for hosting larger groups. Privacy is also easy to find for anyone wanting to get away from it all.
The new chef's kitchen makes entertaining guests for dinner a pleasure. You will find a professional Wolf range, wine fridge, Bosch dishwasher, vast bluestone countertops, solid mahogany custom cabinets, and a farmhouse apron sink.
Charming original details are abundant. Original Douglas Fir flooring has been refinished, original light fixtures and hardware are found throughout the house, and the monumental floor to ceiling fieldstone fireplace is totally unique.
