Description of the Big Bear City vacation home rental

Whether you want to plan a White Christmas, a winter vacation for snow play or skiing, an escape from summer heat, or just enjoy peace and quiet in the serenity of nature, our affordable mountain retreat ($129 - $229/night depending on the time of year) is a delightful escape and a short drive from most Southern California cities, many Arizona towns and Las Vegas. Our 3-bedroom, 2-bath, home-away-from home sleeps 6 with 2 queen beds, and 2 twins. In nice weather, enjoy our large patio area and grill. In cold weather, melt away the chill in our jacuzzi, or stretch out in front of a warm fire after a day of skiing. We also have a ping pong table, lots of board games, old school Nintendo 64 games, plus 2 televisions and DVD players along with an iPOD docking station to enjoy your favorite music. If you want to bring your own food, enjoy our fully equipped kitchen--(everything you could possibly need including a dishwasher!) There's also a 2-car garage to keep your vehicle(s) out of the weather.

Our home is situated in a beautiful residential area about 10-12 minutes from the ski slopes and lake.

We cater to guests with vacation plans for 3 or more nights. Our rates are as low as $118/night for stays of a week or longer.

Area Information

Nestled in the San Bernardino Mountains of Southern California, Big Bear features the beauty of majestic wooded mountains, the tranquility of a crystal clear lake, and endless blue skies, sunny days and fresh air. Similar to Lake Tahoe, Big Bear has mountains with ski/snowboard lifts on the west of the valley and a crystal clear lake in the center. Big Bear is also a sport-lovers dream in summer with hiking, biking, tennis and of course boating, with all types available for rent--kayaks, fishing and ski boats--along with public marinas.

In addition to the beauty of nature, it's only a short drive to movie theaters, bowling, a wide variety of restaurants, several gyms, day spas...you name it, Big Bear has it!

The rental balance plus the security deposit are due 2 weeks prior to check-in. *The only other cash outlay is a $250 security deposit which is refundable minus a $50 cleaning/maintenance contribution towards our actual costs (less than 1/2 of what we actually pay). Deposits are reversed on the debit or credit card used within 48 hours of check-out, provided the place is left in satisfactory condition.

Big Bear Fun

We had a great time staying in your home. The home was very well kept. Very roomy and comfortable. We had everything we needed to cook with and the jacuzzi was nice, hot and relaxing. The house was warm and cozy just waiting for us to arrive. We were within ten minutes of the market and town, which was nice. We would definitely consider staying here again. Loved the house!!

Best Winter Vacation

This house is amazing. The neighborhood is quiet and quaint, a perfect getaway from the craziness of the slopes on a weekend. However, if you want to make another trip for a night ride, both Bear Mtn and Snow Summit are about 10 mins away. The house had everything we needed to be comfortable and at home. I would definitely recommend staying here. The owners are incredibly nice and quick to respond to any questions or concerns that you have. Thanks for making our winter vacation memorable!

Great stay!

We came up here for a short weekend of tubing and snow boarding. This house fit all of our needs. It is on the edge of Big Bear City, but we did not find this to be a problem for us at all. It was a quick drive to the parts of town where all the shopping, restaurants, stores, and slopes were. I would definitely stay here again next time we come up!

Family snowboarding trip

This was a very comfortable cabin. It felt like home away from home. Everything was clean, I love how the kiitchen have so much space to work in. The living room was just big enough to gater around in and conversate with one another. My son had a blast with the ping pong table. It was a quick drive to town. I would definately stay here again. If you're looking for a quiet and comfot cabin away from everything, but a quick 5mins drive to grocery store this is the place to stay.

My family & I had a wonderful time after the Christmas! This home was very clean & literally a home away from home! It is located in a gated community which was really nice & my family & I felt really safe. Inrecommend this home if you are looking for some quality, fun down time with the family!

Just Like Home!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the Big Bear cabin. It was a home away from home. The ambiance was warm and all of the home necessities were at our fingertips. My fiance and I really enjoyed the Jacuzzi and the children loved playing on the piano and watching timeless movies. We even took the children sledding just a few feet from the home. We are planning to return back very soon.

This was an awesome place to stay, we enjoyed our stay! The spa was awesome! The beds and pillows were a little too firm for, so next time I will definetely bring my own pillows--and that is the only reason why this property did not get a 5 star rating--other than that it was perfexct and we will definetely stay there again!
